Wow.. talk about anticlimatic, geesh. There are so many things they could have done to "jazz" it up a bit... looks pretty, but so did the current livery when they were first painted.

Are there any photos with the "heritage circle" visible by the 1L door? The only good photo I've seen is of the right side of the aircraft.

They should do the entire fleet in retro. It's got common colors except for the tail and looks better than the new doo...

I happen to like it. It seems somewhat fresh, and it was done in house.

The heritage logo is an excellent idea--shows PRIDE in heritage...now there's a new concept eh?

And the light colored tops WILL help with cooling in the summer.

Thanks, MOC. The "heritage circle" is pretty sharp. I'm glad they didn't put in the old 1980s US Air logo with the fat, rusty letters!

I love the idea of the retro airplanes. Embarcing our heritage instead of burying our roots is a great idea and a wonderful tribute to the employees and ideals of each airline. It embraces the pride that each of us had for the airlines that we started our careers with. Bravo to Doug and the gang in Tempe. Definitly a sign to all employees that change doesn't have to be a bad thing, and our history is very important.

Nice and clean.....especially like the retro A/C, hope they do more than just one per fleet type. Any word on if they are going to spruce up the interiors of these planes too?

I think it'd be neater if say a whole crew from each airline flies that particular plane in the colors
ie pi crew with pi paint job plane
al-allegheny crew with al paint job
hp-hp crew with the hp paint job
psa-psa crew with psa paint job

Exciting entroducing a new look huh? I think it looks pretty good. Not crazy about the way the cheatline curves down in the front but I think parts of the new livery look really great.
I also like how USAirways is recognizing ALL of the airlines that came together to form the new airline. Much success to you all!

I agree about the cheatline. Its not bad i guess. A little boring. I love the 4 airline logo!

They should give the Piedmont-retro look to one of the 767s (which appear to be in dire need of paint, anyway). Fair is fair, after all....

For each retro-plane, the flight crew should fly in retro-uniforms.

If I recall correctly, the Allegheny Flight Attendants wore hot pants at some point in time.
Don't want to think about what the equivalent would be for the male flight attendants.
