Now that the CWA/Reservationists are undertaking a strike vote I wonder where the IAM stands on this matter.
Probably doing nothing once again.

Hardly. We're doing exactly what our lawyers are telling us to do, exactly the way they are telling us to do it.

We shoved it up the companys "but" once, and we're about to do it again.

The iam is probably at some pro football game, or at the golf course with some USAir vp's. When they should be somewhere figuring out how much less our union dues are going to be.

Rogue,

Sound bitter?

The ramp negotiating committee is meeting tomorrow to plot out a course and will be meeting with the company Wednesday.

The mechanic and related committee (most of them) met last week and will be meeting with the company on Tuesday.

And if you were a mechanic and related you would know the animosity between the M&R group and the company.

Your statements are ludicrous.

I'm sure IAM will do whats right. They do need to listen to their attorneys...

We need to support each other in this matter....Ka---Peach...

repeet, I am sure that's the case, but considering CWA spends large for attorneys too, they sure came to a different conclusion, didn't they?

They way I had it explained; you don't want to have a strike vote at this stage - it may indicate a lack of 'good faith.'

Personally, I agree with CWA - we are fully prepared to negotiate in good faith, or play chicken.

It ain't gonna be pretty, either way.

700,

I am reliably informed that the final product will be put before the membership for a vote.

Will a strike vote be taken at that point?

Either a last proposal from the company or a negotiated product should be put out, unless the company goes straight for abrogation and does not give a final offer if one is not reached mutually.

Aren't we all tired of final offers....

Go to @%ll...you clowns at Crystal City...

The strike is comming.

There is no good faith that I can find in the Mechanic and Related group. Pay us, or we walk!!!

We're not playing chicken, we're suicidal!!

"... It was a bigger mistake for me ... This is not the time or place to discuss these issues and nothing good will come of any of this... For my part in this, I am deeply sorry... The result was quite the opposite... I have no knowledge or clue what happened...

I'm placing myself in the cornfield for good. You folks have at it. I've had enough.

Welcome back Pitguy.

I was thinking the samething.

And we can say the same about a certain pilot, I don't think I would want to be a passenger when you know who is PIC.
