We all knew SWA has been very heavy in the upper-upper management levels. Pretty sure this Elliot group saw that right off the bat. They did mention the ground workers minus Pilots and F/A's. Still not sure if Mechanics will be part of the buy-outs or not as of yet. Too early to tell, but, did say a total of 18 airports are included with the ground workers. Time for big-big changes at Southwest. It has been needed for some time, so buckle up folks, it's gonna be a rough ride going forward with this investment group making all the changes.

Southwest Airlines to cut 15% of its workforce in its first-ever mass layoffs

The Dallas-based airline says its “workforce reductions" of 1,750 jobs will focus mainly on corporate overhead and leadership positions, including senior leadership and directors.
