Rumors of a new announcement this week, (hearing of Tues.) Could it be a purchase or merger? Doubt it, too soon IMO. Could just be some added routes or new city or something. Some are leaning hard to a new paint scheme, which we need badly. We shall see come Tues. I guess, stay tuned folks...

Merger rumors are flying out of Dallas. Talks of new paint scheme, merger with JB-Frontier up front and Frontier-Spirit behind them. Some are still throwing the Breeze possibility out there with the recent CFO movement to attain Breezes CFO into SWA. However, this little ole link is making it's way through the rumor mill as well. It does smartly start out as "unconfirmed" and no one has a clue if the Pilots NDA and any other sign-offs have been made. Check out the link below, it does tend to make some sense on the route coverages.
You just gotta luv the rumors, huh??? On a side note; I do NOT see this as a way to save 500 million as originally planned by our co. Happy reading...

Here's more from a Southwest F/A board member as well. It is usually very hard to keep merger news completely quiet, however SWA did very well on the AirTran purchase on keeping it quiet as we were not told until the day before, and he we are again the day before an announcement tomorrow comes out. I saw the new paint scheme, and it does appear to be a combo of JB's colors and SWA's colors, SWA on top with JB's on belly.

Very interesting color scheme, seems to support the SWA/JB merger or purchase. Hmmmm. Stay tuned folks...

More like the major announcement is they about to lay your ass off and wait another 7 years for a new contract bjtch.

cuz all you know is "737" and anything else you're cluless. Possessing no real value in the airline industry sucks. Not even negotiating new contracts.

Your cabin is uncompetitive and remain stagnant in investments. It will take years to catch up to the average cabin experience.

Your Airlines' partnership remains one that the industry as a whole try to avoid due to the chaotic nature of point-to-point business model. It needs a serious overhaul.

Your executive team has been a bunch of goons who have no business in handling the complex operations of the day-to-day operations of an airline. Hence a few have been fired lately.

Your company's vision and execution has been poor and remains poor due to the fact that its been infiltrated by a bunch of investors who will make a quick buck out of dissolving and selling an obsolete uncompetitive product.

It's a poker match, that everyone in the industry knows, they're "all in" on betting against something they know they got the upper hand, investors control your fate in dissolution.

Consumers will not pay for something that is mediocre of an experience.

"You will have a come back of how great it is and how you're the best at doing things." Keep on drinking the sewage fluid, and watch the company crumble right before your eyes.

So grab some popcorn, and have a seat and mark my words, it will be a suspenseful year for you my friend. Insider knowledge vs a inept mechanic at SWA haha.
