It was already stated that not one but TWO CBS bulletins were put out and ZARAH put the letter from the union on here a few posts back. I believe post #14. Do you need more help or PROOF than that? How about being a good flight attendant and READ your crew mail mmmmkay? I mean really. 1-800 ABC-DEFG....if ya need more help. Don't pick a tiff with me. It happened....moving on.

If, indeed, it had that much play, then, why with the vague references and gossipy cites?

You were "vaguely sure", I'm sure!

OK my two cents:

I don't know of any incident in PIT but what I do know is usally local agreements are at the station mangager's lesuire.

So it's possible that the Pittsburgh station manager could pull the local agreement for USAIR knowing that U would recipricate for that station. If the local aggreement is causing his people grief what do you think he's going to do. Who knows what could happen, but in my small view of this policy no other station would be affected.

My experience is here in BWI where there was a local agreement for RAMP but not for MX. So our Station Manager here blocked Usair's maintenance from the local agreement (ID-90'S were needed).

Once U here deceided to include MX in BWI as part of it's local agreement the doors for MX were open to local Usair MX to fly on Southwest.

Anyway....point is that something happened and info was put out about it. I wasn't about to play detective to find it. I was SURE enough to comment. As luck would have it, the article was posted. Again it was #14. My goodness.

The whole concept of seniority is idiotic and one of the big reasons unions are on the decline.

Try thinking of anything else that you would place the highest value on just being how long it has been in one place?
It is completely arbitrary, might as well have a rule about the month people are born in or by eye color. Yet it is militantly defended as noble by the brainwashed masses! It really would be refreshing to see unions actually come up with some new metrics, I got one how about performance!

Anyone else reminded of the famous/hilarious Chris Rock routine about a certain, shall we say, sub-group of a much larger group who always manage to ruin it for the group as a whole? Seems to fit... B)

I put a wick in that round of cheese they sent us for XMAS 10 years ago...It is still burning...heheheheh....

I really hope this doesn't happen. It would be a shame. How would the poor PIT get to work? Well, at least they can drive to Philly....

lolly

It is completely arbitrary
you might consider looking up the meaning of the word 'arbitrary' before employing it in any credible context. i know that it probably makes you feel good about yourself to use words with more than two syllables; but, alas, when you don't know the meaning of a word, you reflect poorly on yourself.
but, then again, you apparently believe that a turquoise and orange livery are attractive. now, THAT is an **arbitrary** preference...

OK performance.

DP take your beer and go to the back of the line.

USAir sent us a huge block of cheese 10 years back. We sort of just flipped it around and stared at it. Like shaking a wrapped Christmas gift. We all thought it was a candle at first. Then the date on the bottom was out of wack so we thought it was expired cheese. They sent us a memo and said it was ok to eat no matter the date. Hey, it made good grilled cheese. The thought that counts I guess.

On my AA flight to DFW, for dessert, they gave us a choice of cheese and fruit plate or chocolate raspberry sundae. I wonder if they used the same cheese wheel that US sent you???? I opted for the ice cream. My jeans are starting to get tight...maybe I should diet and fly US again...
