Sherri Goes For a Ride

I don’t think this is a Check Ride.

It is my understanding that if you were a Line Flight Attendant before you went into Management, you have to fly once a quarter to keep your seniority/qualification as a Line Flight Attendant should you return to flying. I know the Inflight Supervisors who were once Line Flight Attendants currently do this. I'm not sure if they are required to overnite or not on their quarterly co-fly trip. I know that most of the Inflight Supervisors who were Line Flight Attendants will sit OPR, because of their seniority, and that qualifies as a quarterly co-fly even if they don't actually fly.....which is interesting. It is a great program, if they physically do fly, and just not sit OPR , because it keeps them informed and up to date with reality, but they should be made to physically work a flight and have an overnite with the crew!

The co-fly program is a joke. I don't think any supervisor has actually gone out and done a real trip since the program began.

We should at least thank her for going out in public and not hiding in her office.

When was the last time Doug worked the counters in PHX?

I'm not the biggest fan of SS, but at least there's a pic to proove she has stepped foot in a plane since the assimilation.

Another line of cr*p. Please provide factual information showing that the Sups have not been working real trips. 🙄

They sit OPR, at least the one's whose actual seniority is RSV, so they don't have to fly. All you would have to do is go back and find out which day they did OPR to see if they actually recieved a trip.

This is not true for the west. 90% of our inflight supervisors come from other departments such as reservations. In fact the current base manager in PHX, Linda Fry, came to inflight after leaving the Reno call center. She was recruited by Shambles. Anywho, anyone who WAS a flight attendant and went off line to go into inflight management only has a year before they have to go back and there is not requirement to fly a trip quarterly. You must put in a letter of intent to go back to the line before your year is up. If they are off line more than a year then they can still come back but they go to the bottom. So, if Shambles were to go back to flying (like that will EVER happen) she'd go to the bottom of the seniority list. The east does it differently than the west.

This little trip of Shambles was just window dressing to convince Ed Bular that she's actually out doing something. We all see it for what it is, a joke. My guess is that because it's starting to get hot out here in Phoenix and she can't ride her horses, she figures she may as well TRY to look productive.

She is a joke of a VP and always will be.

I say, YOU GO GURL!!! Why work a flight that has service? it is bad enough that the pax paid 49 dollars for their ticket! You have seniority gurl! Let the RSVs pick up the crap. That gurl has worked too long and too hard to deal with happy meals and party cups!

What would she do if she worked a Buy On Board flight with 3 sandwhiches, 4 saldas, 8 boxes and ran out at row 8? I say make her work one of these.

Actually, I was responding to PHLfa88’s suggestion that Shamblin was doing a Check Ride on the working crew of the flight.

All this is just a photo op and fluff piece for the company newsletter. If she truly wants to “keep her fingers on the pulse of InFlightâ€￾ all she simply needs to do is reschedule the Town Hall meeting she cancelled last winter.

Agreed! She must be terrified of the East F/A's......but she really needs to get over it and just conduct an actual meeting so we can all see what she's all about! The longer she waits, the worse it will be for her! 🙄

Not a mgmt kiss a@@ either, so why are you disagreeing with me? I agree with you.... I know that the sups have been flying when they are supposed to, and Xmas/NY was no exception.... Maybe you meant to agree?

Just trying to dispel some of the absolute cr@p on here..... 🙄

A SFO turn? Oh please Shambles. Why don't you do a long haul where you run out of food overwing? Why don't you do a FLL turn on one of our brokeback 757's? Most of us on the west who know anything at all don't care for her. I still don't understand what sge does or how she manages to keep her job since the Mule has left the building.
everyone else that the Mule hired has "left the building" stay tuned
