Self Help

Here's the clue folks. Any one who thinks these cuts are temporary is nuts. I will eat my shorts if, come February, the company isn't asking for more wage cuts and less benies on a permanent basis. This company is not going to survive and if by some miracle it does, it will be at the expense of workers filing individual bankruptcy due to such cuts.

I don't know what anyone else saw during negotiations, but with CWA it was cancellation after cancellation or a more horrendous proposal by the company than the one before. Initially the company wanted a 33% wage cut when negotiations began. Mark my words, they are still aiming for that figure. They have hit somewhat of a road block but they will find a way way around it come hell or high water. Management is not to be trusted and at this point I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

They tote their badges ruthlessly. And while you and I are struggling this year to pay bills and attempting to give our children even a meager Christmas and try to be thankful for the little we have, those SOBs will be sitting in their beautiful homes sipping champagne and laughing their asses off for what they still have at our expense.

Yes, we did better with the judge for now, but it is not over. Definitely not over. More is yet to come. This goes beyond U. UA will be next then DL. When will it end? Who knows. Does anyone have the nads to say f-it I'm not taking anymore? There needs to be an uprising among us and not just at U but everywhere. Corporate America bites the big one and we pay for the greed that is breeded among the CEOs, CFOs, etc of this country. They take from you while you struggle to survive and yet so many just say those are the facts of life.
