Rumor: Awa To Order 60 Airbus/18 757's

This is a rumor getting some airtime on airliners.net. It would be extremely interesting should it come to pass. What would AWA do with all those planes? Heavy duty expansion....... a new hub/focus city? It's not mentioned whether the 22 Airbuses that AWA has ordered would be included in this large order. Once again let me emphasize that this is ( at this point) only a rumor.

The rumor was that Airbuses are being ordered and 757s acquired. Most likely the former National 75s. There are a 75s from several airlines parked in the desert these days.

What Airbus models are they ordering? Could this be the start of AWA's rumored International service?

Probably retire some old B737.
