The "6 month punk that just hired on" who only gets one week of vacation for the first 5 years?

But with cso and doubles, he's flying ever other weekend Bob..

I believe the EO payout came from a $10,000 "bonus from AA", the $12,500 special moving allowance(for protected employees) which is no longer contractual, and 13wks of severence pay. I along with many others were involuntarily displaced by the AFW base shutdown, most all protected employees, and got nothing extra because of the YES voters that thought this was an OK deal. The EO's left voluntarily with their money. Should all of the displaced members file a suit against the TWU also? This is all BS

The TWU was reimbursed for all of their bk legal fees from AA as part of the contract settlement. They did not lose any $ during the process. Now they want to be reimursed to fight the retirees. Only the members lose and will conrinue to lose with the TWU. Just Venting!!

No, the flight attendants also have the same thing.  As I understand it, if I sell my current stock before the 2nd distribution, I don't get the 2nd distribution.

Was TWU the only group to do the 120 day distribution?
No.   The 120 day provisions apply to all employees (union or not) and apply to the creditors and former shareholders also.   In short, the 120 days applies to everyone.

It's complex, but the 120 day provisions are designed to ensure that new AA complies with the tax code provisions governing tax-free mergers and to ensure that the billions of dollars of tax loss carryforwards aren't jeopardized.   Those carryforwards will shield new AA from federal income taxes for at least a couple more years even at the current profit levels.

Have never heard that...NYer?

I don't think that selling the stock affects your entitlement to future distributions on days 30, 60, 90 or 120.

Of course, you've made $10/sh by not selling on day 1, so it's been a profitable misunderstanding.

Thanks. I thought we were all on the 120 day plan. Selling your shares does not affect your entiltlement to future distributions. But with stock on the fast rise those shares are disappearing fast.

So by NOT selling is the only way to get the shares (value) that you are entitled to. If you have already sold, you are s*** out of luck unless the stock takes a nose dive, which is unlikely at this time.

Oh well, you can still do some recouping with the matching prefunding refund... B)

Wasn't that the intention at the outset?

Bingo!
What I want to now is what happens if the stock price rises to the point that the initial two distributions total value exceeds the 100% value of the equity award?

If not, I'm hoping all current and former AAer's will quickly engage in a class action. :angry2:
