Well Joe McGill has stepped down to return to his shop and two of the runners have held this position before. Mary has done an excellant job as executive board member and puts forth 150% to the members and spends the time to make sure the members are represented.

Lee Ann Has held this position before and destroyed members paperwork when she left office the last time and has on her cards she is also running for convention delegate. Small problem she was not nominated for this position. If she can't even have here cards correct how is she going to do the job?

Russel is new can't say much.

Kevin stop pushing your twu cronies there is going to be a complete change and if you had any clue to what is going on AT this base you would shut your trap.

Oh NYR, you're just pissed off because you don't have anyone (or anything) to push!!!! You sound like a broken record!!

And CIO, Mary WILL make a great recording secretary!!!!!!!!!

Bill you are full of twu koolaide. MARY TEN NAMES will not get elected. It is time for new blood or AMfa take your pick.

Does that suprise anybody?

Original independant thought is a scarce commodity at the Kremlin on Pine.
Do you have original thought Bob or are you saying the exact same thing as the other AMFA supporters ?

It looks to me like the AMFA supporters are saying the same thing agreeing with each other and the TWU supporters are saying the same thing agreeing with each other, I haven't seen a whole lot of original thought here ( other than me of course, I can't seem to agree with anyone ) ;) there is just two different sides agreeing with their side.

Nothing personal Just an observation. :D

If you have an original thought that is different from the other AMFA supporters let's hear it.

Of course by your own admittance, your opinion does not matter.

Well if you have been following these threads you will see several "original thoughts" put forth.

I posted the question to the TWU about the $3.1 million they get from the company.

I brought up the fact that in violation of Taft -Hartley and the RLA the TWU is accepting these funds.

I posted about the fact that Bobby Gless was not reported on the LM-2 and that he apparently was still recieving a paycheck from the company since his dues were paid through checkoff and he was still on the headcount of JFK.

I created the graph that shows how our real pay has declined.

I brought up the fact that the TWU makes more off their investments and "other" income (such as selling insurance to cover benifits that they negotiated away) than off dues and questioned if that could not pose a conflict of intrest.

I brought up the structure of the TWU and why we cant fix it from my observations of the Convention.

I'm sure there are more. While I may be agreement with many of the things posted by my fellow AMFA supporters we have and do dissagree at times.

Good point Buck ;) I agree :D but I still like to give it.

Bob all the stuff you listed above are AMFA supporter views just as the TWU supporters have TWU supporter views, I have not seen any post yet where you disagreed with a fellow AMFA supporter, if you say you have I will take your word for it, that is what I meant by independent thought the ability to disagree with people or ideas on your own side not many people have that ability cause they are scared of what the other guys on their side will think or say if they do, they are afraid they will be disowned if they disagree with someone or something on their side and that is just wrong, everyone should have the balls and the brains to have their own independent thought.
I will always have independent thought no matter who likes it, my Philosophy is if you can't kick my ass ( and not many can ) ;) don't try to tell me what I should think, say or do cause it aint going to happen, it is just to bad more people don't have the balls to be their own men.

one last thing gas is $1.67 a gallon here  I know that sounds kind of high but what is it there in NY.?

Also a new 3000 square foot house on 5 acres with a pond stocked with fish goes for about $175,000 here what could I get something like that for in NY. ?

Apartments are going for about $300.00 a month is that about the same for there in NY. ?

I am just trying to get a feel for how NY cost of living compares to Tulsa's
how about Mcdonalds how much would a double qaurter pounder with cheese set me back are they the same there as here. ?

Let me know Bob I don't know anything about NY, I hear most people don't drive there, is that true ? here everything is so spaced out that everyone must own a car and drive.
Give us a feel for what NY is all about Bob, I know it seems to be a terrorist attraction for some reason and that is not a good thing, most terrorist don't seem to be too interested in Tulsa for some reason and I don't really know why other than maybe cause we don't ever really have large groups of people together a good thing in my opinion as I really hate crowds.

give us an idea of what it cost's to live in NY.

Careful there Raptor.........Bobby might just want to meet you "face to face" and tell you what he really thinks of you!!!!!

And Buck, have you met face to face with Raptor, or is it easier to voice your opinion of someone (you work with everyday) on the computer??????

Well Bill I work out twice a week and I am benching 300lbs these days, I am in pretty darn good shape. ;) so if he does meet up with me without a ball bat he would probably be at a disadvantage. ;)

But hey I know Bob is a peacefull man and I am sure Buck is too, sometimes I can just feel the love on this board, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

$2.25 for self serve regular

Also a new 3000 square foot house on 5 acres with a pond stocked with fish goes for about $175,000 here what could I get something like that for in NY. ?

the fish

Not even close.

I dont know but I would guess that its not much different except maybe for the sales tax.

Let me know Bob I don't know anything about NY, I hear most people don't drive there, is that true ?

New York is a big state. That statement about most people not driving really only applies to those who live in Manhattan. I live around 45 miles from JFK which is about 15 miles from Manhattan.

Well NY is to the modern western world what Rome was to the Ancient. That was why the terrorists targeted it.

give us an idea of what it cost's to live in NY.

I think I went over this before. I think I even posted a link to a cost of living website where you enter where you live and where you are going and it tells you what you would need to maintain a similar lifestyle. If I recall correctly if you moved from Tulsa to NY you would need at least a 100% increase in pay to maintain a comparable lifestyle.

If you would need a 100% increase in pay then you are saying the cost of living in NY is twice as high as in Tulsa, I knew that there was a difference but I did not know that it was that dramatic, are you sure about that or are you just pulling my leg that seems kind of high to me.

Oh I was talking about the house the land and the fish not just the fish
I know your cost of living could not be that high

Hey if you run across that website again that has the cost of living figures on it please post it again, I wouldn't mind checking that out for myself.

I know the guys in LA complain about high cost of living as well, I wouldn't mind checking on their alleged <_< cost of living.
I lived in Hawaii on Oahu for 3 years and people use to always say that Hawaii cost of living was high but it really wasn't, the houses may have been higher I don't know as I lived in the Army barracks when I was there but everything else was quite reasonable.

Thanks for the Info. Bob
