These gentleman are commonly called police officers. They are not soldiers or Marines walking around US airports in full battle dress.

I kind of wonder why those police officers in the last picture are carrying around CAR-15's. With the penatrating capablities of the 5.56 round I'm not sure you would want to open up in a crowded terminal. About a month after 9-11 I saw a CPD officer at ORD walking around with a Mini-14. Window dressing I guess.

Never said they were.

I beleive those are National Guard. Which as we all know have been used in policing functions through out our history.

I believe those are soldiers packing nice toys. Same boys going over the ME.....or doesn't that count?

You know what the web address is for that one picture is Dell? www.nationalguard.mil/news/archives. That's what told me the National Guard. Rather dectiful of you dell, trying to turn a Gaurd member into regualr army. Come back to me when you have a picture of the 101 Airborne or 1st Marine Division patrolling our nations airports. There are some good photoshop programs out there. ;)

And damn...they are soldiers.........just like you pointed out.
Which is it? Soldiers or Marines ? Or now you want 101 Airborne or the 1st Marine Divison?
But now you are changing the narrative mid course.....who's deceitful now?

I know it's hard for people like you who were never in the military or don't know enough about the laws governing the US military but there is a difference between the National Guard and regular Army.

Are you ranting? ;)

Last I checked, National Guard troops are known as soldiers, like you mentioned in your post.

Putting another spin on your funk narrative?

How many National Guard troops fought in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Dell, if you don't the legal difference between the National Guard and regular Army in relation to posse comitatus that just means your lazy.

You're changing the direction of the narrative like you always do......

What is Possee Comitatus ?

Kind of like you using "Your" instead of the correct "you're"? YES, under Posse Comitatus laws there is technical difference. A distinction that makes little difference to the average flyer who sees "Soldiers" in the airport.

It also apparently means little difference when it comes to International Interventionist policy either.

In Iraq — Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 11,545
Army National Guard 10,583
Air National Guard 962
In Afghanistan — Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) 3,971
Army National Guard 3,284
Air National Guard 687

I get your point! It seems however that to the Back Bench Junior Senator from IL posing as President fails to make such a distinction when seeking to meet his objectives in Iraq & Afghanistan. I'm missing the logic here. Not really a "Soldier" under Posse Comitatus, tell me when they come back to us in Body bags from the Middle East via Dover AFB what are they then??? "Friendly Combatants"? Or just corpses killed in an international chess match?
