The IBT was aggressive because they can legally cross lines and raid other organizations being a non AFL-CIO Union member. So when the company closes PHX or PIT or wherever your from you will be furloughed and probably out of a job because your seniority doesn't mean a thing in LAX or PHX or TUL with a Teamster represented group. The IAM has the most liberal seniority rules in the Airline Industry. The IBT organizer in CLT was fired several times by US over anger management issues and the IAM got his job back several times.
