Are you sure you don't get any compensation from the IAM? Why would they put you on conference calls or send you emails regarding the challenges?

who is doing the organizing in the mx campaign? GLR's? Who is planning it? Seems like the strategy is to use the IAM pension as the main reason to vote for the IAM.

No offense to all you #### jerk offs who would vote for the Teamsters based on what information? How will seniority work? How will premium positions be selected? What kind of pension will I have? How many Holidays will I have? Vacation Days? Sick time pay ? etc etc etc !!! I haven't heard of or seen any blueprint how the Teamsters will operate except their dues will be twice as much and have 99% percent of Pensions underfunded. USAirways Mechanics have a CBA waiting to be signed very soon in the near future. Yes we have had our pay and benefits cut to save this Airline from the mass grave of Airlines that have gone under over the years. But this is the turning point of all the sacrifices ! I will take the IAM Contract over any other Airlines except SWA at this point. Their pay is a matter of numbers. Our seniority and premium time should count for something going forward. The local Teamster clown has said we will start from scratch on the next contract. WTF does that mean? We will have to wait years like the UAL Mechs to see a viable contract. We will have wasted years getting to the top of the Airlines wage scales IMO. Somebody give me some concrete numbers how the Teamsters have and will operate !! Otherwise FO !

You will never get concrete numbers or how the teamsters will operate in writing. NEVER. The teamsters will lie, lie, lie to get any and all to sign a freakin card for representation, once they are voted in they will disappear and never be seen again until the members get irate over their complete misrepresentation as the new union. Teamsters will in fact try to get in at AA for the pensions. They have ran with the pensions issues from day one, and they need more and more groups to bring their pensions to the teamsters/ibt in order to TRY, I reinerate TRY to save the teamsters pensions fixin to go down the toilet. I really hope you AA'ers don't fall for the teamsters/ibt BS. My god, if anything, stay TWU, at least you will pay less for the same type of representation...

Now 700 if we must sling mud.. Can You tell us all about the IAM mess is PIT and them fine upstanding IAM members that were caught by the NMB i think for illegal union business??and just what were they falsifying.

They used a company copy machine and computer to produce information, and agreed to re-run the election.

Hardly the same as the IP trying to bribe people to win an election.

Local Lodge 1976 agreed to conduct a new election for president, vice president, recording secretary, grievance committee chair, two grievance committee positions and two trustees under OLMS supervision on or before October 31, 2013. The OLMS investigation of the challenged election established that employer equipment and supplies were used to produce campaign literature that promoted the incumbent slate of officers in violation of section 401(g) of the LMRDA. The agreement follows an investigation by the OLMS Pittsburgh District Office.

I am voting Teamsters due to my dislike for The Association. We've been IAM and TWU screwed for many years. Why not give someone else a chance. IBT seem aggressive and motivated. The IAM fell asleep on this one.

The IBT was aggressive because they can legally cross lines and raid other organizations being a non AFL-CIO Union member. So when the company closes PHX or PIT or wherever your from you will be furloughed and probably out of a job because your seniority doesn't mean a thing in LAX or PHX or TUL with a Teamster represented group. The IAM has the most liberal seniority rules in the Airline Industry. The IBT organizer in CLT was fired several times by US over anger management issues and the IAM got his job back several times. Is that what you mean by aggressive? He is a perfect fit for the gangster mentality of the IBT.
