Police Escort Off Property

And ALPA has done any better?

You guys give jobs away by the thousands, just look at Mesa, prime example.

ALPA feed their young to the wolves to protect the senior guys.

That is why your RJ represented pilots are suing ALPA national.

Bob,
You and I have had various disagreements before, but in this case you are right on the mark. My comments: the IAM has basically become a neutered pussy cat to negotiate with. They have no stregnth, or courage to do what is correct. Instead, they allow a vote on a final best offer, to "leave it up to the membership". The word is out, just dont negotiate with the IAM and you'll get a vote on whatever you want. IAM, your paid to represent and do tough things, you've failed. You acted like the spineless worm. You allowed the company to split your union.....big vs. little stations. In short your morally bankrupt garbage.

The IAM will never again be a great union. You have been defeated. At USAirways, at UAL, and soon at Boeing. And I suspect everything they do is to maximize their $$ intake. In short, they are in the business of represention, and like any business, maximize their continued $$ intake....and they did.

You and Bob are on a different planet. A union is only as good as the members and is "not" just the leadership! The "members" make or break a union by being involved, caring and standing together which is exactly opposite of what's happening with today’s labor, everywhere. Even the great LUV had it's labor force take cuts and they are "making" money, why is that? The "members" agreed to it, just like the members agreed to the insanity you geniuses are pissing and moaning about. It doesn't matter what the name of the union is if the "membership" agrees to pain then pain it will be, if they agreed to it. The membership worries about "self" and now they are reaping the results with people like you trying to shift the blame away from the real source, yourself and everyone like you who accepted the unacceptable. Why don't you go further and blame Bush or Kofi Annan since you are are making no sense anyway! Bob’s hatred of the IAM leadership is a mental illness, hope it’s not catchy and your coming down with it too.

Nice to know that the Denver city government and Denver police are stooges of big business. Wonder if Lakefield paid them for their "services." Just like the federal government.

Except if you're an illegal alien in this country. Then Bush's gubment welcomes you in, gives you Medicaid to have your 5 babies here, then lets you work for peanuts to drive out unions.

700UW,

Correct !, and I have no arguement with what you are saying. Except your reasoning in the last statement is not the reason why.

Once again it is a sad day in Unionism when such a thing happens with no action. Nobody iis saying force but as been stated - Comments should be made and the press being contacted. But as we all know we as members of the IAMAW this can't be done for sake of security and the true statement of - Where does the IAMAW start and the Company begin ? Anymore you just feel and think this IAMAW is z true Company Union. And if anyone can prove different show or state it.

I agree, a unions main focus is on their OWN bottm line. Everything else is a side issue. The sooner everyone sees this they can realize that in negotiations you are negotiating not with just your employer but also with your union.

Whereas, at the IAM, we are throwing senior employees under the bus (out-stations) to save the junior ones (catering and PHL)

How is that any better?

there is no union when they know they can throw nearly 30 stations out the door along with the 600 or so employees. all the union cares about is collect their dues just to satisfy their own personal needs. had the union allowed the outsourcing of catering, the 30 or so affected cities would never had been thrown out the window.
now what the he!! are they gonna do when usair comes back for round 4 paycuts and they dont have the 30 cities to cut from????

Exactly. Why do you think the IAM had them revote after they voted to strike the first time? Because the IAM said they were "confused".
