PIT NONREV

so the traffic is obviously coming from somewhere. Why US turned over flying PIT to LAX and SFO to United is still a topic of discussion. It is NOT like United had much of a presence in Pittsburgh to begin with. The traffic US handed over in PIT was MORE than on a Silver Platter......it was a Mobile Buffet they pushed away. ANOTHER S-t-u-p-i-d decision made by some Master Magician of the Airline World. (When You sit back and look at all the BS that transpires, You have to wonder "WTF were they thinking?".

They were thinking we will only fly from hubs and focus cities that make money!

PIT don't make money. It doesn't make sense to have flt to LAX and SFO from PIT. PIT no LONGER a HUBS or FOCUS CITY...SO PIT is just another destination..... Sorry for the folk who live in PIT, but I don't think there is really any connection for psgr going through PIT..... They prefer NYC or Chicago...

Aaaaaaaaanyhow, so I hear it's tough getting in and out of the town of crockpots? I wonder if beachboy commutes from there? Hmmmmm

Why are you so mean? Not all of us who live here have big hair, like fries on our salads or know how to use crock pots.

Oh rest easy Scarlett. I'm originally from Pittsburgh myself along with my entire family. I know ALL about "daburgh". What I think is a TERRIBLE representation of what Pittsburgh is is 99.9% of of USAirways commuters that live in Hopewell, Beaver, Robinson, Cranberry, Findlay etc. Look not everyone from those areas are all that bad but MY LORD! ! ! They all claim themselves as PITTSBURGHERS but again 99.9 DO NOT live in the damn city or even immediate burb. The "city" proper of Pittsburgh has changed a lot regardless of what others may think that don't llive there or have a desire. What burns me is all those that want to live on the outskirts but do not pay AT ALL to help the city that you claim your from even as it almost crumbled. Sick child? what hospital? The childrens hospital of cranberry? Sports teams? The Hopewell Steelers? Anyway....I'm not mean but honest about most of what I see. ;)

Yeah, but a bad theory and totally pulled straight from downunder. People have been behaving lately.
SW emps are grateful for US hauling them back and forth to work, too you know...

Awwww! It's nice to hear that you kissed and made up. But just like the wheels on the bus go round and round, it seems that things don't run too smooth around Christmas time which is over 3 months away. So talk to me around that time, when flights are booked and tempers run high enough to melt the snow in SYR!

Here's a handy guide to the diverse culture of PIT

Part of the reason that PIT is unbalanced with regards to flights is it is still a heavy maintenance base. The company flies equipment in there the market doesn't necessarily support because the aircraft are due for heavy maint or check.s

And, thank goodness they do fly those larger planes in and out sometimes. Otherwise, none of us would ever get to work. Now, if we could just have them notify us when there's an aircraft swap( usually and A321 to A319 because of maintenance) on the first flight to Charlotte, we'd have it made.
