PHX ramp new-hires get pay raise

Learn to comprehend.

If they gave everyone in year one of the pay progression a raise in PHX and not every other station, it is a contract violation, someone junior cannot make more then someone senior under the same CBA.

Just like US did in PHL all new hires in the system were given raises in order to attract workers in PHL, the company did not make the increase in PHL only.

Traditionally, US has always done things across the board, not in one city. Hopefully that is not going to change now.

Just be thankful 700 that your company is adjusting pay upwards for those that need it the most, with or without the unions help.
So you don't think it is fair since some stations are not getting the additional benefits the company freely chose to give PHX?
I find your position inconsistent since YOUR union actually wrote the book on this stuff by agreeing to the new 2-tier pay system that pays most stations 20% less than the hubs.

Just like when the TWU ushered in the B Scale 2 tier system years ago at American in return for automatic recognition at Eagle, and other airlines including non-union carriers had to follow, now the IAM has set a new industry substandard 2 tier pay system based on station size.
So that the unions have put pressure on non-union airlines to adjust to lower pay systems.

How is it inconsistent?

The company can always move ALL new hires to a higher level in the scale just as long as someone senior to the new hires is not making less money.

Case in point, last year they raised the new hire rates up a level on the scale in order to attract more people to work, every active employee who was in the same place on the scale as the new hires were also raised SYSTEM-WIDE, not in one station only.

And it was YOU and YOUR coworkers who voted on the FINAL OFFER, not a negotiated concessionary agreement, your and your fellow fleet service employees ratified it. The IAM did not impose the offer on the workers. Even though you keep forgetting the Court abrogated the existing CBA.

Once again it was a Final Offer from the company, not the IAM.

But hey, why would you start letting the facts get in the way of your misinformation and rants once again?

Another union problem is that the union always points its fingers to others like governmental officials or its own members. Sorry 700, I don't buy 'it's the members fault' stuff that unions and loyalist like you sell.

The IAM was and is incompetent as they have left the workers a long time ago because of its own selfish ambitions.

Afterall, post 911, DL141 had 4 airlines in bankruptcy, thousands of good honest hard working men and women on the streets, yet the union bosse$ get pay raises, dues increased, and more union bosses are hired.

Puh leeesse

Tim, you are becoming the master of misinformation, it is getting old.

All the AGCs and GCs took the same concessions that the rank and file took.

Did you know the US Airways AGCs took the same concessions that UAL had taken during the ESOP and they were not even UAL employees?

And funny my dues went down both times during concessions.

Per Capita rates increase, dues only increase when the members wages increase, you know this but you would not post it as it would show you once again to be posting false information.

All unions in the airline industry had the guns pointed at them by the bankruptcy court, and maybe if you were in court or educated yourself on the process you would know the bankruptcy laws favor the company and the creditors and not the employees.

But hey don't let the facts get in the way of your rants once again.

PHX, newhires, sound familiar? Lets get back to the specifics of the thread and not rehash the old union thing again, k?
