Aaah but with the 4.0 hour part time rule you can double with an 8 hour full timer and not go over the contract max for 12.0 hours in a day, which by the way it is a stupid rule since the company can mando for 16-20 hours a day.
Alas, as far as managements big bonus....the 4.0 part time agent has powers that they do not utilize. Get the lines long, slow it down big time, don't p/u the required overtime to run a small station and for goodness sake don't answer your phone on your days off !
Show the managers you rule the roost, yea they chintz on the 4.0 but if the operation is not operating properly with the slow down they will have no choice but to change these hours.
Now for Kao, I understand your animosity because I read all of your threads. If you cannot get them to up the hours just work smart, slow and coy. They will have to mando with all the delayed flights you can transpire. Most major companies with part time scheduled only work the part timers at 4.0 which is the part time rationale of an 8.0 shift. The logic for part time is to fill the necessary holes and breaks of the full time operation yet decrease the cost in medical and overtime which is an important surplus for an airline to survive monetarily. Slow it down guys and get the results you wish for. The flip side to all these complaints is when the mando is given to bring the part timers up to 6 hours , 3/4 of you all would complain you were kept longer. NOW ADMIT IT! It is true and I have witnessed it in several stations.
