Parker has quietly gotten permission to serve the sentence beginning today. Story Here.

There is actually a four paragraph story in today's Valley & State section of the paper, but I haven't found it in the online version yet.

As expected, US Airways CEO Doug Parker is getting his jail stay out of the way as soon as possible.

He is scheduled to begin his 24-hour sentence for DUI tomorrow morning. His original date was March 15 but a date change request was granted Thursday, according to a clerk in Scottsdale Muncipal Court.

The timing of the original date would have been awkward, coming a day after the airline's media day, which draws reporters from around the country."

Loaded just fine for me, Coach.

As I just told GoFaresBoy this morning when he was naughty... you do the crime, you do the time.

Thanks for posting this. I tried again & response was something to the effect of not authorized to view the page. I agree do the crime & do the time. I just feel the man got off way to easy. But maybe alot has to do with things I've seen.

Is it unusual for the Court to schedule things like this around one’s work schedule?

If you listen carefully, I think I hear him singing:

I hear that train a-commin', it's rollin' around the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry

I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinking coffee and smoking big cigars
But I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin' and that's what tortures me

Well if that freed me from this prison
and that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

I just couldn't help editing the lyrics. Apologies to Johnny Cash.

I hear that plane a-commin', it's rollin' down 26...
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I got into this fix
I'm stuck in tent city and time keeps draggin' on
But that plane keeps a-flyin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, son
Always be a good boy, watch out for radar guns
But I sped my way thru Scottsdale, after Delta died
When I saw those lights-a-flashin', I hung my head and cried

I bet there's rich folks drinkin' in fancy Scottsdale clubs
They're probably eatin' somethin' in restaurants and pubs
But I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those unions keep a-pushin' and that's what tortures me

Well if that freed me from this prison
and that DUI was just a fine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from tent city, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that Glen Campbell strum my blues away
