BoeingBoy,
I don't know if I'd go down that road. You aren't going to get much sympathy if a 20% pay reduction and a 30% reduction in DC is $75,000 a year. What must you be making now...most employees at US Airways are lucky to pull in $40-50 k!!!

jack_mama,

I wasn't looking for sympathy at all. I know that I make a comfortable living. Haven't looked at the IRS info lately, but probably in the top 5% or so of taxpayers.

For the record, though, the last company proposal was for a 23% paycut (which results in a 10% reduction in my DC plan contribution for starters) and a 50% reduction in DC plan contributions (which results in a 61% reduction when combined with the paycut).

FWIW, there isn't a Porshe in my garage - just my 1988 Civic and the wife's 1994 Civic. I do have a truck in the driveway - a 1984 S10 - for when I need to haul something. My wife of 30 years and I live in a nice house - too big for us now that the kids are grown, but that's another story. The nice thing is it's all paid for.

How come you don't have a fur dashboard and a bobbin Hula girl in the car? What's the matter with you? :p

I was running late and didn't have the time to put that in there. I got the dice on the mirror and the Hula girl but haven't found the right color fur yet. Just got some hydraulics though yesterday, and man can that thing jump now.
