Fleet service (EAST) worker hurt on the job, surgery required to repair damage...AIG comp carrier approves surgery..

1) USAirways fails to notify NC Industrial Commission of injury.

2) USAirways fails to furnish past year wages to AIG, AIG unsure of what to pay employee.

3)AIG fails to approve prescriptions for 2-4 days after being dropped off.

Has anyone else had problems with comp case? Anyone know who the appropriate person(s) would be within the company to sort this mess out?

Lawyer has been retained....

Since you have a lawyer retained, I would suggest you have the lawyer do all of that.

Had you not retained a lawyer I would have suggested that you send the NC board a copy of the OJI report(s) that you completed, along with copies of your most current paystub from while you were working and your W-2 from last year.

Regarding the medications I would either have told them you need the meds and if they say no, get the meds filled and send them the bill. However, ask your lawyer that one.

Hey had the same problem took U 2 months to get me a paycheck, and that was with me calling payroll and HR and everybody else!! If you have retained a lawyer it may be a bit different route you'll be going, but mine was a paperwork problem from the start when they filed the change of status form if was not filled out properly and when it got corrected it got miss filed. I would start there then give payroll a call to see if they got the change of status after which you'll want to call risk management they deal both with payroll and AIG.
AS far as the RX goes call AIG and get your claim file number and ask who is handling your case and talk to them, about 4 weeks after my injury AIG sent me a RX card to use for any scripts I had to have filled.

Hope that helps in some way, and I'm sorry to see comp. claim problems are not limited to the west.
