New Uniforms Pictures

Oh, Jetsetter, give it a rest. We know you have a hard-on for your new uniform, posing for pictures in it and whatnot. You have no idea who was offered what at the fitline, which was the usual parade of incompetency.

You seem so terribly excited about the idea of people being sent home, you keep bringing it up. It would be great if it were true, maybe more reserves would fly, but it ain't gonna happen. First of all who sees you before your trip anyway? This is not your little one room operation in PHX. Secondly, the company is not going to waste time and resources fighting the union and delaying flights because someone didn't bring an unsuitable winter coat. They tried this back in the day when we were actually expected to look like real F/As and follow actual strict guidelines, and it just doesn't happen. The rumor you are trying to start about someone (3 senior folks, wooooooh! the drama!) being sent home for wearing the new uniform is false, and I challenge you to prove it.

From the beginning you've been full of "wait til this happens you easties!" What happened to the getting rid of DOH you promised? The First Come First Serve travel policy you swore was being implemented? Powdered cream was going to be the norm? A merger partner will not include he east? Sorry, none of your fantasies are going to happen no matter how much ill will you wish upon Big Brother East. Sorry you will never be an International Flight Attendant, but get over it! You, my friend are the bitter one. You're so transparent in your constant attempts to paint east F/As as bad F/As who don't know what they have coming... thank god most west F/As are not like you.

You spend all your time on here with your kool aid rants, acting like you are so concerned about the company. If you were truly concerned about the success of the company and it's employees, like most of us are, you would not be happy with the shocking state that it's in, and you wouldn't defend the constant inexcusable f-ups. If I'm bitter, then fine, bitter for better. I'll take that over low standards and jealousy any day.

I'm not clear as to what 'knowlege' you feel I lack, but will happily go head to head with you on any topic you wish.

If not, go back to playing with your America West 747 model and posing in your new Home Depot smock.
 "Parade of Incompetence"............Girl, I L-O-V-E it! Just when you would think THEY (Tempe) would be running low on circUS stunts, they stage a PARADE   Many have stated "They would ruin a wet dream"..........I am pretty much convinced THEY couldn't even get it aroused  Clueless Clowns with a BAD Act! And BTW...........EMBFA is far from bitter, she ONLY speaks the Truth, unfortunately some of you prefer NOT to hear it.

The one with a dark “desert tanâ€￾ on his nose.

Anyway, I find it amusing that anyone would ever worry about the Boogeyman “sending them home without payâ€￾ for some silly uniform infraction.

Do the winter coats have mittens attached to them with strings?

I heard there is going to be a hotline ppl can call to rat coworkers out for infractions

Scary.

If the uniform is that bothersome to some of you - look for an employer whose uniform you like. It the grand scheme of things the uniform is not that bad. (although its not great either).

Well said JCW!

I like to ask...how much did you pay for this new uniform?? hmm..Nothing! oh my! And if you had a real 9-5 job would you be required to purchase your own clothes? Yes!

Its all about fear of the word Change...for some they have to debate and ridicule a topic til they beat it to death...why not focus all the negativity by accepting change with an open mind and see just where it may take you.

Wow, he's the second person to say "bitter party of one". I remember my friends and I saying that in high school, along with "Not!" and "psyche!" Did it just hit the Phoenix gay bsrs or what?

Personally, I'm fine with the uniform, however since the majority of US have to deal with the sometimes brutal cold of the Northeast, a WARM winter coat is necessary. If the company cannot provide that I will revert back to wearing my navy wool uniform coat which looks very professional and is WARM. Now, I'm just about sick of some of these losers telling everyone to find a different job if you don't like it. That is the disconnect here, as this is not some fly by night job for most, this is their career and demand that it be treated as such. It really shows the lack of any kind of longevity when people use this particular cop out.

Oh now Sears Photo Boy, there you go again thinking you know everything. Actually myself and the majority of my coworkers that were hired under a certain contract at US paid $1150+ for our hideous uniforms. OH MY!!!!!! Personally, I'm fine with the uniform that I tried on (I have yet to receive 1 piece though) and am looking forward to wearing ANYTHING besides what we have now. Also, the first thing that USAir told my class on the first day was, "there is nothing constant in this industry but change, if you don't like that or can't conform then you should leave". I'm just fine with change and I think most are, what they are NOT ok with is arrogant people coming in and stripping everything decent without taking the time to see what actually works, and don't tell me any different, everything they attempt to do is crap the 1st round and then they have to back track and try again usually with mediocre results. Mediocrity is NOT going to cut it around here and neither are the people telling everyone to just put up with it or leave.

On another note, those 70 or so furloughees that accepted positions at AWA also had to pay $400-$600 for an AWA uniform in addition to what they already paid for their original US uniform. They were not even allowed to wear the white shirts and navy pants from the US uniform. For someone who seems to be in the know, you certainly are left out of alot.

We don't have a problem with change. Like you said, change can be a good thing. In our case, it is not so good. Why? Because the frat boys at the sandcastle don't know how to run a global carrier they have stripped, raped, and pillaged US Airways. We were at one time a classy carrier and we took great care of our customers and had an award-winning product that was as good, if not better than the major carriers. Our operation was almost flawless and there were high standards for the employees. Now, our whole operation is a mess, our airplanes are filthy and broken and have no closets, we aren't given the tools to work with, and it is one big disaster. They have no concept of customer service. None! They also treat their employees like cheap labor. Before we had one of the best contracts in the industry and I was making more than friends who worked at United and I was junior to them. Those clowns in Tempe changed all that was good about our airline and transformed it to sh!t. We had systems and procedures for everything in place in they worked. Our airline worked like clockwork from baggage to catering to cleaning to ticketing, every job was done and done well. We didn't have to guess where something was in the galley. It was where it was supposed to be. We never had to deal with lazy cleaners and dirty airplanes. Our cleaners came on and cleaned it fast and cleaned it well. We never had to clean airplanes either! Wow! What a concept! What we did worked! There was no need to change something that was already working to something that clearly makes no sense and doesn't work and that just makes our operation fall apart on all levels. There is nothing positive about that type of change. If you had been on the East side when we were a global carrier of choice or if you would have worked for a major carrier, you would understand what it is like to work for a professional airline that values its customers as well as its employees. We're just tired of being treated like manual labor and of being humilated on a daily basis because of the incompetent mgmt in Tempe. They just can't seem to get it right!

Well then be prepared to get sent home with NO pay everytime you are found non compliant. Heard they sent home 3 senior folks already for coming to work in the new uniform prior to the rollout. I am suprised you even need a winter coat, afterall didnt you say you were "fluffy"??
As an AFA Rep, jetsetter, one would think you would be more professional.
