New Uniforms Pictures

lodoboy- the all weather coat WAS available for you to try on at the fitline. So you had an opportunity to view it and try it on to see if it was for you. You can always send it back and get credit, but unfortunately it will be the only all weather coat you will be able to wear. I am sure the company will revisit the jacket once they evaluate what is or not working.

What are you, the uniform fairy? Were you in New York and London and Philadelphia? Just because you were "uniform nerd" in PHX doesn't mean you know what was shown at the others. I never saw the all weather coat either. In Philly they had a stack of things ready for female to male. I had a mini confrontation with my lady because she was trying to force t-shirts and things I had no intention of ordering on me, when I'd rather spend my fifteen minutes trying on the things I'd be ordering. Outerwear never even happened, I didn't even see one in the chaotic room.

Enough of the "so-and-so, you saw/were told at the fitline"... Mind your own business.

Thankyou Embfa for coming to my aid. I too am impressed that jetsetter2ord is such a clairvoyant, and knew exactly where I was and what I tried on, and what was available to me, and what the conditions were. I was lucky to try on what I tried on, in the 15 mins. of rushed time I had! And trust me Jetsetter, if I am feeling cold, and the coat doesn't help in keeping me warm, I will wear something else, because this company doesn't afford me sick time. I am also pleased to know that the company will revisit the jacket, and reevaluate it.(Remember Jetsetter said it first) They are very good at the follow through thing, and making sure that my needs are met as a valued employee.

They were there trust me! Ask your MEC Uniform chair He will agree with me. Or maybe they were not in your view because they were being blocked by one of your "international FAs"?

If you spent more time being knowledgeable about things, rather then investing all your time on this website you would not be so bitter!

Well then be prepared to get sent home with NO pay everytime you are found non compliant. Heard they sent home 3 senior folks already for coming to work in the new uniform prior to the rollout. I am suprised you even need a winter coat, afterall didnt you say you were "fluffy"??

Oh you know what!!!! That little comment was completely uncalled for. Who the he!! do you think you are??? All I can say is well we came from 2 VERY different hiring standards. I'm amazed at how some of the desparate people have brown nosed their way to where they are out in Phoenix, I wonder how the union feels about these people??

For the record, and I can guarantee you this, the sup's in the East are not going to send people home because they wear the nice wool uniform coat. Now, go choke on your Koolaid!!!

When I went to the uniform fitting, I never saw the coat. First of all, they did not have the women's coat. Therefore, there was no way I could have tried it on or put in any input. Second of all, even if there had been one, it would have taken an act of congress just to be able to try it on. Why? We only had 15 minutes and they were rushing me like crazy and every time I wanted to try on something different they would tell me it wasn't necessary. For example, after trying on the skirt they said there was no need for me to try on the pants since they fit the same? Uh WHAT? Then I wanted to try on a shirt and when I asked to try on a different type of shirt again, I was told that they all fit the same and it wasn't necessary. Well, yeah it is so give me the goddam shirt. BTW, I was out of there before my 15 minutes was up so it's not like I was going over my time limit. They may have had the men's coat, I don't know. Whether they did or not, what good would trying on a big, bulky coat made for a man when I am 5' 2" and weigh 100 lbs? How would trying on an oversize coat be an indication of what it would look like on me? Yeah, that would tell me a whole lot. Real help! C'mon! If they did have the men's coat, nobody bothered to show it to me so I don't know if there actually was one there. I did ask about it too because I wasn't sure what size to order.

As for your mean comment about our international f/as you need to shut your mouth! That was uncalled for! Also, leave EMBFA alone. She is very knowledgeable, intelligent, and is not at all bitter.

Oh, Jetsetter, give it a rest. We know you have a hard-on for your new uniform, posing for pictures in it and whatnot. You have no idea who was offered what at the fitline, which was the usual parade of incompetency.

You seem so terribly excited about the idea of people being sent home, you keep bringing it up. It would be great if it were true, maybe more reserves would fly, but it ain't gonna happen. First of all who sees you before your trip anyway? This is not your little one room operation in PHX. Secondly, the company is not going to waste time and resources fighting the union and delaying flights because someone didn't bring an unsuitable winter coat. They tried this back in the day when we were actually expected to look like real F/As and follow actual strict guidelines, and it just doesn't happen. The rumor you are trying to start about someone (3 senior folks, wooooooh! the drama!) being sent home for wearing the new uniform is false, and I challenge you to prove it.

From the beginning you've been full of "wait til this happens you easties!" What happened to the getting rid of DOH you promised? The First Come First Serve travel policy you swore was being implemented? Powdered cream was going to be the norm? A merger partner will not include he east? Sorry, none of your fantasies are going to happen no matter how much ill will you wish upon Big Brother East. Sorry you will never be an International Flight Attendant, but get over it! You, my friend are the bitter one. You're so transparent in your constant attempts to paint east F/As as bad F/As who don't know what they have coming... thank god most west F/As are not like you.

You spend all your time on here with your kool aid rants, acting like you are so concerned about the company. If you were truly concerned about the success of the company and it's employees, like most of us are, you would not be happy with the shocking state that it's in, and you wouldn't defend the constant inexcusable f-ups. If I'm bitter, then fine, bitter for better. I'll take that over low standards and jealousy any day.

I'm not clear as to what 'knowlege' you feel I lack, but will happily go head to head with you on any topic you wish.

If not, go back to playing with your America West 747 model and posing in your new Home Depot smock.

Jetsetter2ORD:

You know what? You are a total MOOK! Everyone laughs at you as you trott through the PHX airport with that cafateria smock on. Paleeeese! I was in the PHL fitting and it was not even controled chaos! NO ALL WEATHER COAT! Getting that coat I thought of that ugly coat Dorothy wore on the Golden Girls!
"Blanche, call the police! I just saw a big, ugly man with a limp walk past my bedroom window. He was wearing Dorothy's coat! [she sees Dorothy sitting on the bed] But then again it was dark and I tend to over dramatize."

Jetsetter2Ord....do you know how ridiculous you are? You are a laughing stock pal. I guess you'll be one of the FIRST I laugh at in the new mens MOCK. Looks FABULOUS in the magazine.....swooooooooosh. You and UWCactus are quite the same. Hmmmmm.

My, My, My, Aren't we an evil Jetsetter. Why are you so upset?? I take responsabilities for my actions, and pay the consequences for ALL of my decisions both good and bad. I am willing to talk to ANY supervisor, and pay the price for non compliance, should that arise. I will even talk in person to the uniform chair, and listen to the explanation on why fittings were chaotic, frenzied and disorganized. Unless you have actually met a group of trans-Atlantic F/As, then I would reserve your generalized comments until you have met the majority of them.

My comments were about an All-Weather Coat, that I did NOT enjoy, and MY experience at fitting, which didn't include you, as far as I know. If you noticed, my response to your attack was merely a reiterarion of your own words.

Now as for your personal attacks on myself, and my "fluffiness", I just have to laugh, and move on.

I am sorry that my feelings about a coat upset you so...safe flying.

Maybe you should spend less time on this website and invest in a spelling class. Poor spelling only shows you have no class.
