New refurbished 767

Happy Birthday ETOPS!

Thanks for the info on the interior. I think anything will be an improvement over what it was. Do you know if the back galley was redone to get rid of the old plug in carts?

It appears all they did was install new first class seats and a new video entertainment system. It was not a complete refurbishment of the interior.

Did any of you actually believe that the first "Lipsticked" 767 would come back on line FULLY done? This hansy pansy, shoe string, hootenanny operation is a joke. Don't any of you find it remarkable that other airlines can refurbish their aircraft in pretty big numbers but we can't do our rinkydink fleet of widebody aircraft? If I'm not mistaken there was word a while back that the first 757 Etops was being redone with the new galley. A total joke.

ooo... fresh off the presses!!

We in fact HAVE a picture of the new interior!

And it was done 159485% UNDER BUDGET!

Usairways, creating an American Experience with a WORLD touch, feels we aren't respecting our proper roots, so they are proud to introduce this "new" and exciting interior, which includes cotton from India, mohogany from Belize, curtains made of silk from Nepal....

There is a 767 that routinely makes up flt 1586 on the 10pm bank and leaves out of D13. It has been done with the new interior although I haven't taken pictures or noted the tail number on it. It is in CLT quite a bit - - if this is the same one I'll photograph it tomorrow when I go to work...if not, I'll photograph it anyway and you all can ridicule me.

Kissssieessss

In Envoy training we were told that by June of this year, when you walk on an ETOPS aircraft they will all look alike. I just flew on one of our old ones and nothing had changed. We ran out of sodas going to and from florida! I was hopeful since I was told the 767 had just been completely redone, that maybe there might be some truth. *frowns*

It's 5:00, time to go to happy hour!

Happy Birthday ETOPS!

The 767's are only getting the new Envoy seats and IFE. They will eventually get all of the wall laminates including bulkheads, lavs, and coach seats redone to the new leather look. The Rear Galleys on the 767's are not going to be redone at this point in time but they are looking into ways to have the plug-in cooker carts replaced. The 757 ETOPS are getting common Rear Galleys only (similar to the ATA A/C) and leather coach seats. That program has been delayed, so none of the 757E A/C have been redone, but they have confirmed that they will be re-done by this summer.

Happy Birthday Etops! Hope you didn't party too much in MAD! As for the 767! Another half assed job by Tempe! No improved chillers? Those galley should have been ripped out and thrown into a landfill! They are beat up, outdated and cooking the meals it's a miracle you don't get electrocuted. This whole thing it like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang across the Atlantic.

It is Absolutely disappointing! The 757E new galley configurations will NOT have chiller ports....I guess the issue was lack of space. It is also my understanding that all of the new narrowbody Airbus deliveries will come without chillers too!

This is what you will get from Kevin Jackson and the gang of bean counters! "WOW, that's interesting you feel that way! Why do you feel that way?" I mean get a freaking clue! Because you buffoons, when I plug in the carts they shock me or don't work and falling apart and because if we don't have chillers the food spoils! Famous quote from Mr. Jackson "Your flight attendant world is completely foreign to me". And PS if I want to be psychoanalyzed I would go a shrink. I could probably recommend a few to Tempe as they need one. If you're going to do something HALF A** don't do it at all. To me the galleys were one of the most important items. No chillers in future airbuses? Oh goodie another hodge podge to the fleet.
If your going to invest in making a decent product you cant try to trim the coast and nibble at every corner. L O S E R S!

Oh, I made your day didn't I? I hit the O button once to much by mistake and then was in the middle of double checking the post when you just hopped all over it. Oh I'm glad I brought some light to your day at 111 W Rio Salado Parkway ;) Aren't you busy trying to make legroom on the A330 by removing the headrests?

 That was good! OK Beachboy, one more to send you over the edge....The A-330 that has leather seats in coach now looks great  ....problem is..... somehow..... not sure how this happened.....most of the tray tables won't lie flat and are at about a 30 degree angle hitting the armrests......
