I agree 1000 percent!

They got what they deserved, the red carpeted royal red flaming hot shaft shoved up their golden butts. They sanctioned what has come around to haunt them with their selfish greed and arrogant attitudes. I have more respect for Dave Sigel and his kind because at least one expects such behavior coming from individuals who were born raised and nurtured into becoming the worlds elites, while the pilots played sing along with Mitch until times got bad and pulled mutiny on their fellow brothers and sisters so they could continue their golden lifestyles of working half what everyone else does making ten times more. I wish the pilots all they have coming, you reap what you sow, you low life lizards.
Love Curt--- Ex U mechanic never to return to aviation and its sorrows.

Sorry that you feel that way Curt.

I know some #### mechanics, but I don't label all mechanics, only the bad ones.

It is true about the deal and well known. The pilots make me sick and I am glad and I smile as their lives go into shambles.
(You could say I am a lil bitter.)

Could be bitter, maybe sour grapes left a bad taste in your mouth.

The truth hurts, and if you were part of it, you're guilty as charged. Pilots did the same thing at Eastern giving airline executives a heads up that the pilot group could be used as a tool for their divisive purposes and it worked.

To Pitguy you wrote:

“Could be bitter, maybe sour grapes left a bad taste in your mouth“

I knew someone would post this nonsense, that and slamming spelling when no just comeback is possible, standard protocol for the indign.

Pitguy is only stating fact which you and your cohorts can’t stand to hear because you know in your heart what your group did was not right and only helped create the chaos and havoc it costs countless airline workers who keep things running smoothly and keep your sorry butts flying safely so you could go home to your mansions while the little guys suffered.

Bitter? Not at all, pitguy, myself and many others have found another life away from the dog eat dog world, the hurrah for me and to hell with you attitudes that brought about the sorry state the airline industry is in for all workers these days.

Your handle is very appropriate.

BottomFeeder,
The pilot group was paid to cross the mechanic's picket line.

Don't let the facts get in your way.
The pilots were paid the same as any other group that showed up for their job. Remember the IAM was on strike not any other union.

Strike one

Three and your out!

Haha! You may want to count your own strikes and also you may want to slow down and listen what is being said. Above you state the pilots were paid just like anyone else that “showedâ€￾ up for their job. What happened back then just in case you truly do not know is the pilot group had members that did “stay homeâ€￾ and were “paid not to flyâ€￾. This was part of the agreement that all of these scab pilots would be paid as long as ALPA supported the company and scabbed across the picket line. You also stated that you know some moron mechanics. Well I do to, but the point I am trying to make is there is a very high percentage of pilots deemed to by self serving and morons versus a smaller portion of mechanics. One more thing regarding the strike. The ramp was non-union and had to work, but the union flight attendants did fight to try to support the IAM up until a Bush Sr. appointed judge ordered them back to work. I appreciate the effort they made and even though I do not work at U I still admire them allot.

As far as me. I live in an upscale community. I have folks take care of my pool, landscape and lawn. My children travel often as arranged by me. At times my lovely wife accompanies me to country clubs, dinners and world wide business trips. I receive generous bonuses throughout the year. I even get junk mail that I never received before such as people wanted to install home theater rooms in my home or invites for wine and cheese receptions at upscale auctions, etc.... Every home in my neighborhood is not just hit with a string trimmer, but edged as well. The two new large SUVs we drive with deep tint windows are nice. I was in management at U and left a few years ago. I saw the writing on the wall. What happened there is managements fault and still is today. I have no other debt, but a mortgage that my CFP and my advisor tell me to keep. I have consolodated to three investment companies. Two for the long term and one I play with for different stocks I like (and sometimes learn not to like). I live well below my means and still have a very enjoyable life that I did not have at U. So yeah I am real upset. Now go look in the mirror and see how nice your life is and ask yourself how your scab buddies and your actions have gotten you were you are. You deserve everything you got and finally I do too.

Really?

The MD-80s, DC-9s, F28s, F100s and 737-200s were all parked and not flying during the October of 1992 Mechanic and Related Strike, so please explain how those pilots got paid for all the missed trips if they did not fly?

Strike three your OUT!

Don't let the facts get in your way once again.

Well folks the I's have it. After reading 20 of them in this, pat yourself on the back, spew. Better yet why not pay someone to pat your back.

Back to the real story PitGuy you over stated by claiming " most pilots" yet you won't say just how many of the 6000+ pilot you knew in "92". Why not?

So if history shows you over state things. Then live the dream.

P.S. people that have to tell you what they have ...usually don't

MDA pilots,

You deserve the best as I have said many times before. Not a player in this contract abuse but will surely lend support at any cost! Stay STRONG.

700 & Pitguy,

Your pathetic jealosy over pilots and the 92 strike situation have been discussed a thousand times with same outcome. The responses on this thread alone should shut you up, but I am sure they will not.

Funny thing, when I boarded an aircraft to do some little thing requested by the captain in charge they always treated me with friendliness and a heart felt respect. That said, I actually believe you mean what you wrote here. It's a shame the bad out numbered the good and everyone reaped the woes those results brought down upon all airline workers.

I am currently working for a large international company and it's where I will retire from in the not too distant future. Another U mechanic was hired there about a month ago that I used to work with. Just last evening we both were agreeing on how U was the best deal in town at one time and that we both missed it, knowing those times are gone forever. Sad sweet bitter memories all tied together and why you read some of the posts on here from people like myself who think...what if.

I don't know you but I am betting you were one, on the right side.

Do not be surprised if PSA is sold in the future, with a possible suitor Air Wisconsin.

In regard to Air Wisconsin, expect to hear specific news regarding thier entrance into US Airways Express soon and a very aggressive schedule to have all of their aircraft fully integrated into the new US Airways network.

Regards,

USA320Pilot

The timetable for Air Wisconsin's transition from UA express to US express has already been pretty well set - UA has set the schedule for the phase-out of AirWis and AirWis will set the schedule for their phase-in at US Express. Does anyone really believe that AirWis will want their airplanes sitting idle (and bringing them no revenue) longer than necessary.

I'm not going to try to find the old reports at this hour, but off the top of my head I believe AirWis' UA flying will start phasing out next month and end next spring to summer. That means that those planes will all be transitioned to US Express on the same timetable, or very close to it if repainting/refurbishing interiors is done as the planes make the transition.

Remember that the agreement with AirWis give them the right to decide when to put aircraft here, not US. So an "aggressive" transition should come as no surprise to anyone.....

1-I know 5990 :afro: . After that I quit because I figured I had enough data. 2-Maybe some usually don't, but this one does and I think you may have had at one time. 3-Bitter is a tough pill. 4-You have to be a less than honest person to deceive about what happened in ’92. Finally-I am glad you are getting yours now.

Curt,

Yes, I do wish you well!

This place is a mess and I can't believe that some people will tag a person and not know the person. Just because they are in an employee group.

What got my goat is that there are MDA folks who were not on the property in 92 and they are now being called a scab. Sad be true.

I am glad to hear that life on the outside is good for you. Hopefully many other will find that it is OK to have a life with out this ball and chain around their neck.

Good Luck
