Glad I could help...By the way, in continuing the alcohol theme, if you look closely at the picture, the Gambler is holding a 40oz. of beer. :D

Well, time for me to follow in the Steps of CARRIE.... Gotta go make my nightly COSMO (Yep you can buy CHEAP VODKA) !!!!

I have some really cheap vodka, and I swear its called Crystal Palace.

Its well known that Ornstein wants to run a "real" airline and will stop at nothing. Those of you who know airline history will remember that Frank Lorenzo's empire began as Trans Texas Airlines, also known as Tree Top Airlines. Beware.

"... and we'll rely on each other, ah-uh....." :)

Well .....I Love this Job....it's my kind of place.....it puts a BIG SMILE ON YOUR FACE.! i MUST BECOMING DELUSIONAL.... I am having nightmares.....but I will go to my dying bed saying that I have met the most remarkable hardworking people ever......at USAIRWAYS. Rampers, caterers, gate agents, pilots, F/A's....everyone...You all have made my world. Thanks!!!!

Hey... Nothing like a GOOD OLE HANGOVER !!!!

Thats what you get from Quality Alcohol that Furloughees and EXPRESS EMPLOYEES have to DRINK !!!!

Where's Dave with my MARTINI ?????

Amazing! US Airways is paying Ornstein so much, that his Mesa has made enough, to buy part of our company! This somehow doesn't seem right!

If the company had kept the flying in house, we would have made the profit.

Sorry, its probably just that all the low grade alcohol has clouded up my mind...................

I smell a RAT!! Siegel and Ornstein are buddies from way back are they not?? So you can see how this asset sale might go prior to anything materializing.

It might not be evident on the surface but you can bet something shady is cooking behind the scene if Ornstein is in the mix.

BTW, I thought Dave was back pedalling from the asset sale threat since it caused our rating to be reduced to JUNK???

Way to go Dave LORENZO!!!!!!

It seems CO, DL, NW, Branson and Mesa have expressed interest in US assets, based on what I am reading tonight. Things will get interesting if any of them offer a deal too good to refuse.

And here the much discussed "UCT" comes to light. :p

Seriously, Mesa operating the Shuttle under codeshare with US might not be a bad idea. The Shuttle market will never go back to what it was ... Amtrak is just too damn convenient (and this from someone who flies DCA-PHL every so often).
"Amtrak is just too damn convenient"

So thats WHY, after doing NOTHING for a few years, (uncle Bobby)Robert CRANDALL is now on the BOD's of AMTRAK

VERY, VERY Interesting !!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I think US should look at using EMB-170s for the Shuttle and signing a partnership with Amtrak. Not everyone will take the train just like not everyone will fly, so why not get those Amtrak riders flying US when their travel requires they fly?! Business travelers are funny on the DC-NY-Boston routes. Either they always take the train or always fly ... I've never run into anyone who does both routinely (unless weather prevents one or the other).

Plus, couldn't US then use commuter slots for the Shuttle? Use those mainline slots and mainline aircraft to fly elsewhere.

I also find it hard to believe that the Shuttle is all that valuable these days.

There you go again....trying to be logical. I'm certain that you never would have considered this idea had you gone to Harvard :D :D

Three cheers for Seigel.....
