Does it really matter?

Even if the ibt wins the IAM/US CBA will remain in effect until amendable until 2009 and HP was not in chapter 11 twice in less then two years.

Of course it matters. Why wouldn't it? INFORMATION matters. And no, HP was not in Chapter 11 twice in less than 2 years. But now, US Airways is NOT in Chapter 11 either. The merger brought US Airways OUT of bankruptcy. And please don't say that things have to stay the same. The new management is open for discussion and negotiation. Take the positive and run with it and try to refrain from dwelling on the negative.

The new management is bound by the POR, the judge and the creditor's to keep status quo and the only negotiations will be a transition agreement.

But hey, don't let the facts get in your way.

I don't intend to let the facts get in my way. And that is why I am trying to get them.

And let's all hope that the transition agreement is good.

The IAM has been getting sweetheart deals from the company negociating transition agreements behind our back and closed doors. Not one of our people invited to attend negociations about us, not the kind of representation any of us are interested in having. But the cards are in and more keep coming so let them waste thier time.

The Teamsters have been feeding misinformation to US Airways’ mechanics and related employees in a desperate attempt to collect enough authorization cards to force an election with the IAM after the National Mediation Board (“NMBâ€￾) rules that the combined US Airways and America West constitute a single transportation system or “single carrier.â€￾
;)

There is two sides to every story -- I, having had personal experience with the IAM before prefer to believe in the Teamsters. I have been represented by the IAM and will do everything possible to avoid it again. I know they can not be trusted and can say that has not been the case with the Teamsters. I am (thank God) a former IAM member.

There are no sweetheart deals being negotiated. Things like a pension plan and bring the HP planes work in-house are the things being discussed.

And you have said you are on the NEGOTIATING Committee, you would think you would know how to spell it.

So why are the HP negotiating members not taking part in the discussions??

By the way, you don't spell everything correctly either. Nor are you always gramatically correct. Glass houses/stone throwing. :glare:

Because they are still ibt members, that is why.

You would think being on the Negotiating Committee is a very important role, you would think the person would know how to spell
N E G O T I A T I O N S.

And maybe it was an honest typo. Spelling errors should be overlooked as there is not a sepllchekr on these boards. Move along with the topic. Thank you. ;)

700, Since you have nothing better to do than worry about a mis-spelled word,

How is the snap back grievance coming ?

How about the transition agreement ?

The snap back is heading to third step, and I do not know the status of the transition negotiations, I will check into that for you.
