Seems last Thursday in Charlotte, Lakefield was invited to a private cruise on the Catawba Queen at Lake Norman, NC.

Lakefied was invited by a group of pilots, all top management in Charlotte went, as "selected" rank and file employees.

Company told the three line mechanics tell your union leadership to open up the contract, we will save the mechanic jobs and get rid of utility.

CWA members were there too, no union leadership, just hand picked employees.

Open bar and food provided.

Company is trying to pull an end around on the union leadership who was elected by the rank and file to represent them.

Check out the CWA report on their meeting today with management. CWA has asked for an apology for some of the remarks made by Mr Lakefield on this little cruise. Unbelievable. (but not surprising).

See my other post that proves I am right: Used car salesmen, even in ALPA, we are polluted with them!

While I don't want to witness any of my co-workers losing their jobs, this is a good idea if it will save the company money. Sorry Utility, looks as if your days are numbered.

We all know you are not what you seem, and sorry we won't open up the IAM contract and sell out our brothers and sisters.

how about when the iam sold the employees down the river and failed to throw in the life jackets when the company turned several stations into the mainline express city and in a couple where the ramp was completely farmed out--avp--comes to mind? if the iam doesnt want to sell out their bros and sisters then why have the employees pay a 40.00 or whatever from the ones in the mainline express cities? it should be reduced

Yeppers, just read my CWA e-mail,,,,sounds as if senior employees are a hap-hazard..

A buyout is more then a seed planted...

2nd and 3rd time I've read this with my big baby browns....

Sorry Utility, looks as if your days are numbered.

With that thought in mind does that mean by getting rid of Utility it'll bring the airbus work back in house?

Any cleaner that isnt out there looking for employment else where needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Same goes for the pilots, flight attendants, customer service agents, rampers, stock clerks.... catch my drift ;-)

A cruise of Lake Norman, wowee man! Maybe Carnival Cruise Line should take a closer look at this exotic port of call. I can hear it now in Charlotte....Didja jeet yet? Hooooweeee let's git some free vittles on the SS Hooterville. Ship of fools, plane of idiots.

Your ignorance is showing, there are multimillion dollar homes on Lake Norman, and the Catawba Queen is a very nice steamship dinner cruise.

Greg Norman has a home there along with the CEO of Lowes and numerous athletes and race car drivers.
