Sorry, your just smarter than everyone!!!! and yes Left field is exactly where I feel I am, a long long way from the infield, let alone home plate....keep spinning your own wheels, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that's even remotely satisfied with the way things are going (or in our case not going anywhere fast).....enough excuses already!!!

No, not smarter at all. Just patient because i believe the upswing is just around the corner and i feel very comfortable with how things are going. Hang in there Jimmy ! I really don't know why the anger. Go vote and lets show the company that we are about unity in the end.

They negotiated for 15 months, not 2 years, our contract expired in Dec. 2011, so counting the supposed negotiating sessions last summer we are now quickly approaching that 15 month threshold ourselves, are we not?

They are obviously paid a bit lower than mainline, but at this rate it's not going to be that much lower with 4% raises each year and 2% on top of that and the fact that they now have 3000 members should be quite shocking to everyone here at mainline as at least 1/2 of those jobs used to be ours!!!! Were they not?

Now my real point here is, what the CWA has been able to get in negotiations on the mainline and now express side compared to anything even remotely acceptable (under this current regime with Delaney) on our side should be very clear to see for everyone here to see, if not get your blinders off!!!!

One only needs to look at what these other groups are getting or not getting (in the way of the SHAFT) as we are continually being obliterated under the former and now current regime, and this has nothing, and I mean nothing to do with or about Tim Nelson, so don't spin it that way....it's all about as obvious as the nose on your face.....just look for yourself!!!!
Jimmy
The CWA hasn't negotiated anything with the mainline upstairs, they are in current talks just like fleet is. If you are referring to the snapbacks they are currently getting, that's because back in the transition contract, they voted their 1st T/A in. We at fleet voted our first one down. It had all the snapbacks in it for fleet also. One of the loudest voices at the time telling members to vote it down was Tim Nelson. I believe from your post you are supporting him. So one of the guys you can thank for not getting your first T/A with the snapbacks is the one guy your supporting. Sounds to me like maybe you are the one that needs to take his blinders off, and face what really happened!!

NEGOTIATING TEAM, JUNE 4, 2012 — For the first time since filing for mediation, the Negotiation Committee, with assistance from our Grand Lodge Representative, met with the company during the week of May 28. The Mediator was not present at this session. We mutually agreed with the company that it was important to continue to meet, whether the Mediator was present or not, to resolve issues that we could, and save other issues for when the Mediator was present.

Rich Delaney started out the first day by talking extensively with the company regarding seniority and job protections for the possible merger with American Airlines.. He drove home how important these protections were for all of this Membership. The Maintenance group and Flight Instructors have joined in a show of unity by proposing the same merger protection language to the company that we proposed.

This week we discussed Recognition and Scope, Overtime, Filling of Vacancies, Holidays, Vacations, Insurance and Safety and Health. The Negotiation Committee continues to keep in mind the surveys and the needs of this Membership. We are focused on a contract that enhances wages and benefits and protects our jobs. Our next negotiations are scheduled for the weeks of July 9 and August 27.

Show me the contract that this regime negotiated for us and then we will talk. Otherwise the nose on YOUR face is getting a little bigger with every comment. ............You can't show me because they are in negotiations trying to improve on what they inherited. We are all responsible for this by voting it in by %....it doesn't matter at this point who voted what. We now take responsibility for the whole ... BTW i never mentioned anything regarding Tim Nelson......turn on the lights Jimmy and come in from Left Field.

"33"

You can tell these occupy guys are getting desperate. They are grabbing at straws and presenting misinformation and half truths as an argument to support their agenda. Unfortunately for them... this site is populated by a host of experienced, and knowledgeable members, like yourself that will not let them get away with this outrageous bullshit!

I will say this much... each and every single one of them that have been on this site perpetuating this crap, have lost my support forever! They have put their own agendas ahead of the membership’s best interests at a very critical point in Fleet Service history!

They will suffer the consequences at the polls... present and future!

IAM and CWA voted on the T/A? Why didn’t the IAM second T/A have snapbacks

The first T/A was far superior to the 2nd T//A that was voted in by fleet. It had snapbacks, pension increase, and much better job protection. The company took all this out, and front loaded it with a big raise for the West employees. This is all meaningless now, just setting some people straight who is supporting MR Nelson. that he was all over this board back then telling people to vote no, mainly because we were going to win the change of control. But people are supporting this guy to lead this union!! Geeze!!!!'

Let's keep it real... I don't recall many East FSAs on this Board advocating EITHER the first or second T.A. So to blame Tim for being against both the T.A.'s, while nearly every other candidate on this board advocated his same position would be somewhat misleading.

As I said back then prior to the ruling on the Change in Control, when there was the first T.A. I told this forum that after the ruling goes against Fleet Service, the Company will offer something less. Of course, the East had dreams of glory with a snapback clause working in their favor (contrary to any current revisionism about "concern" of stations being close, as to their "No" vote), for which I reminded them that the Tempe Boys had some of the best corporate legal minds reviewing all of the documents prior to purchasing US Airways, and I doubted Fleet Service would win the case.

As I turned out, I was right... Company countered with a less attractive offer and Boss Canale gave his warning the second T.A. would be the "last, best final offer," as there were no plans for additional negotiations.

There maybe a few of the old Boss Canale regime who are running for the elections who might have advocated the passage of both of the T.A.'s as they were probably just toeing the line. Personally, I think relatively few East people were overly supportive of either T.A. in large part because it offered them relatively little in return, especially compared to their pre-bankrupcty contracts.

So Reviews Jester.

You may be right. The fact is the other people that was wrong, isn't running for PDGC position, to run this district for the next 4 years. It would seem to me, if you are running for that position, you should be held to a little bit of a higher standard than your normal poster on here.

first of all I am not on any platform and I voted against both of them, I have no way of knowing of course but I suspect that most of not all the ND/rising did as well.
Point being it is not an issue to me to use to support or not support members of the occupy or rising tickets.

People voted no for many reasons, and there was just not enough in either agreement to vote yes on! The big problem is that you take the vote of the membership back to the company and fight for more, not accept less, it's absolutely mind boggling that so many people support what Canale did and then blame the membership for voting it in!!!

Again there are are minority few here that support what's going on and as I said earlier, I for one couldn't find one person where I work (and it's in a HUB) that is happy one bit with our situation today, so someone must be living in a bubble and it's not me.....

Again, all you have to do is look around you, other work groups have benefited immensely from the much smarter stance taken in regards to the members best interests, this crap you guys spill about blaming the membership is the biggest cop-out I've ever witnessed. Actions speak louder than words and so far I've seen double digit DUES increases and double digit give-backs and takeaways...so where is the good stuff, you make me a believer!!!!

Why waste time making you a “believer”? It’s clear you are a Nelsonite that will attempt to discredit anything positive. You have been proven wrong repeatedly in these forums with facts and case history.

I have news... it won’t work... most of the Membership in CLT has demonstrated support for the 141/R! This will be clear on the 14[sup]th[/sup] of this month...

Good try though...

141 Rising!

Hey Jimmy
Those of us that know, know full well your in a hub!! We know your in the clt hub to be exact. And I have been told your usually in the bagroom. And trying to make you a believer!!! Could care less!! But what I want you to admit, is this POS contract piece of crap that we are working under, had nothing to do with Delaney. It was Canales agreement. You do know that dont you?? Delaney is currently in negotiations for what most of us voted him in to do. And that's simply to get us a decent contract, now you want him out while he's in the middle of doing what we voted him in to do. Dosent make since to me!!

I know quite well what's going on, and I'll repeat what I've said before, Find the masses that are happy with the pace of things and the continual decimation of our group, cause I'm having a real hard time finding any!!!

it's the pace of things and the inactivity over the past year or more that I've had enough of. Again actions speak louder than words, and from where I'm sitting things don't look a whole lot different then they did 5 years ago, Now that there's an election, there is a flurry of activity, weak at best....we can agree to dis-agree all day long, but something has to give here, enough is enough!!!!!
