Did you get the word BARGAINING at the end of the article. Contrary to YOUR belief, the AFA has been BARGAINING for a long time...not sitting around planning militant actions against the company. BARGAINING goes two ways. It was because of YOUR labor group that the others were given basically a week to BARGAIN a contract. So layoff, Rambo. <_<

I agree 1000%. There is life after U. I am on my second job already and I just retired, you WILL survive and probably be better off.pitguy said:

I couldn't agree with you more.
I worked for U for 17 years and finally had enough of taking one paycut after another to support an airline that IMO doesn't have a chance in surviving.
U may get the concessions it needs but what about the price of fuel and all the other non labor costs that have yet to be addressed?
I now work for another airline that actually puts their employees first and plan on buying a home sometime in March. I may work harder and make ALLOT less but at least I don't have to go to work wondering when my last day is going to be, knowing that I have job tomorrow was worth quitting.
BTW... its been awhile have you been?

You don’t have to be stuck, scared and confused reading propaganda from the likes of the captain and piney and all the other talking heads who act like they are management’s henchmen.
Things are picking up, there are jobs available. I have turned down a few that didn’t interest me.
The U employees don’t have to take what's being forced fed down their throats while top management goes unaffected yet telling you that you MUST submit, they are wrong because U is no longer that good job it once was.
I loathe U’s management. I can’t stand those kind of people who do what they do and live with themselves. The likes of Dave Siegel and the other greedy lying selfish rats will receive their rewards in time.
The U employees need to make a stand even if it means U no longer exists, unless they do, corporate America will continue to walk all over employees, working and retired, everywhere.
Employees have the power to make management walk over a mine field and let them for a change keep tabs on the body count.
Stand up people! Make a stand for yourselves and every working individual and congratulations to the AFA and IAM for not caving, let em sweat, let them go straight to hell!

There is 100 business coalition in Pittsburgh that will put up a job fair downtown Pittsburgh in the middle of January for U employees.
No one has to settle for poverty wages and unaffordable medical, no retirment and no money to fund a 401k....
