Judge Mitchel Order

well at least it is good for those of us who are in the expressed mainline cities and midtitanic airways if there is one that wont be affected this time. but just how long it will be before they come back and say well we must either cut your pay to walmart pay or contract out the ramp remains to be seen.

The IAM Mechanic and Related at MDA were not excluded from the paycuts.

You will note that the company did not receive permission to outsource "to address out of the ordinary course of business
attrition; or to address work slow-downs or other service disruptions caused by employee groups."

Gonna be ugly 60 days after the S1113© motion, I predict.

FAA inspections are at an all time high and they are watching US Airways employees very close.

And as long as you go by the book, there's not a thing they can say....

Jim

Once again you amaze me.

If you work by the book, which the is an agreement between the company and the FAA on how maintenance is conducted, that is not a thing the FAA or the company can do to you for doing your job by the maintenance program.

C'mon USA320Pilot don't try to scare people, You know that's normal for any airline operating in Chapter 11 to be watched closely by the FAA; it's procedure.

A 21% pay cut is 79% less than a 100% pay cut
after liquidation which was the other option if the
company did not obtain relief from Judge Mitchell.

As an employee covered by a CBA, you have
2 choices. Accept the fact that airline economics
have irreversibly changed, or leave and find a
career that pays an acceptable wage.

If you are hanging around waiting for the judge
or the company to bring back the wages and
working conditions that existed prior to 1979,
you will be waiting for eternity. It isn't going to
happen.

AS USA320Pilot says, I don't like it, but there
are no other options available at this point.
Price is king in the airline industry and if you
cannot profitably fly with lower margins, you
need to adjust costs to meet the lower margins.

Simple economics. Good luck with the job
search.

NFS,

Knock it off or it will be a trip to the cornfield. Please take it to the pm if you and 700uw care to debate.

cockpit scene after the ALPA t/a gets ratified......
new crew resource management language added....pitbull shows 320 how its done.

Once again the law has chosen to ride the backs of labor, The only relief is MGT, they give nothing and now can continue to do nothing while the workers at UAIRQ pay and pay and pay.
