I was just wondering if anything has been heard about him lately.
Is he quietly laying out plans, observing etc? I havn't heard squat since his appointment.

Jim is tirelessly working on the 9000+ non-labor contracts trying to renegotiate terms or if necessary, rejecting agreements that can be obtained elsewhere for a lower cost.

Immediate cost savings are a "sprint" and the restructuring is a "marathon". You will hear more about his efforts maybe as early as late next week.

Yes. The newly appointed emperor of transformation. VP, actually.

I believe when Admiral Schear gets done transforming the company he will become the next COO for the privately held US Airways controlled by RSA.

So, he will be right under name deleted by moderator, CEO, on the new organizational chart?

Who will be the VP of Pacific Operations once the transformed U swallows UA?

I Agree. He seems to have a good reputation with most of the pilot group. Since the pilots are the only group with a T / A could there then be a pilot ownership plan in the works with Mr. Schear as COO or even CEO?

He's been drinking heavily after witnessing the chaos of the Chapter 11 filing. Heard through the grapevine (okay Deepthroat with a loud speaker) that our management flunkies had no plan the day they filed Chapter 11. After seeing management in action old Jim is saying to himself: WTF have I done??

I think that's some of your more convincing speculation. Although, I'm still interested in whether some of the other creditors are going to get annoyed at RSA's role as creditor and equity holder. I still don't understand that relationship and if the judge will look into it.
