Pass privileges

I was just reading the pass policy in the thread above regarding parent travel. It says that they must pay $15.00 each direction plus segment/security fees...retirees say the same thing. I have heard from retirees they they have seen landing fees and security fees added on to their ticket resulting in high price tickets..so to speak. for example...this is just a ballpark...two retirees traveled from PHX to LAX and between both of them they ended up paying close to $90.00 (RT for two). If parent travel is going to end up costing this much, this is not good at all...what about a day trip for a parent? Expensive day. If anyone has any information on this, please post so we all know. I'd be happy to hear if it's just a flat..$15.00 each way..I can live with that.

As far as boarding by seniority or first come first served...I don't mind either way..however, I would never want a spouse, dependent, domestic partner, traveling alone, to board prior to the employee..in a seniority system. Regardless of the seniority of the employee...the employee goes first...period! That would be my feedback.

Hey Dell, I hate to be synical, But I pretty much figured on getting screwed out of my "Lifetime flight benefits" right from the start. I hope AWA Mgt.is more honest in there commitments than the former U regime was.

Actually they might AWA wants to take away your SENIORTY so a 6 month person might go ahead of you!!!!!! E-mail them at [email protected] let them know their policy sucks!!

Scare tactics!

What a load.

Check in time is fair for everyone, seniority is what you get when you stick around too long. This industry needs retention, check in time is a good policy.

Its fair.

I have a buddy on the west coast who is already trying to set up for check in time with me out east
Call a friend at the airport when the computers are down
This is fair.

Help me out here, how is check in time fair? It rewards folks who like to camp out on the concourse and the under 5 yr folks who want instant parity with lifers! Senority is all some folks have remaining in this morass. Check in is for newbies and wrought with opportunites to play games!

I don't mind the $15 per segment for parents as long as it doesn't turn into what the current companion turned into at US East...a waste of time a cheaper on the internet. PLEASE do not add all the other taxes on top of the tax for the ticket.
