JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

I'm not sure if there are any changes that would bother me. I only ask because I hear it would affect
the commuters more than anything. Why do you ask?

Just wondering.

Not sure the commuters would be the most affected. It would be the career PTer who takes off most of the time only the CS for a couple of weeks to make sure they worked the minimum hours to maintain their CS privileges.

Not being able to make up your hours would be the hardest thing to overcome, not sure how that would affect a commuter negatively.

how many times do I need to explain LUS ot??? sheesh

pt signs up for pt
ft signs up for ft
cc signs up for cc
pt doesnt get call for anything but pt till ft or c list is exhausted
christ how hard is this to understand

Speaking for myself, "I" would be ok with this. This by itself wouldn't cause me to be a no vote.

And sorry rat. I'll try to wrap it up better inside the old noggin next time.

Weez you selling out?

I live well within my means. Both OT and CS (swap shift) are well down on my list to vote no. We'll probably go up to about $67,000 base DOS? I think I can survive on that despite the struggle.

lol and we're the ones who screw the pt ers lol
Well I understand the TWU too a full time job is supposed to be full time and a part time is to be part time. I know of PTers who wouldn't go full time just for weekends off, then they would just work extra hours

The difference is that in LAA, a FTer is called before a PTer to cover any opening, including PT vacancy or opening.

The PTer can get extended only if the FT list has been completely exhausted.
To add to that, we do not have CC sign up for CC...

Contractually, you're correct. Our local overtime rules allows for CC to be picked from the OT list if there are no available CC or D1 on the shift. Essentially, it's one having a separate list.

Aside from the PTer being on the same list as the FTer, on the LAA side, we also have to worry about separate "duty assignment" lists for OT.
