JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

So of the nth flights we get in DFW that are LUS metal, we should lay off the equivalent personnel and bring in LUS to work them?

I am trying to recall the numbers on the LUS agreement, and some stations have different minimum requirements, but I think for most US stations, the standard is 56 weekly mainline flights averaged over a year. That's only 8 US mainline flights a day on average? I am sure that DFW would easily be handling that per day.

No offense, but if I was without power and living as if I was on Gillian's Island, I wouldn't be hanging out on a message board. Maybe picking coconuts, irritating the Skipper or hitting on Ginger.

I'm at work. There's electricity and food here. Not many flights though.

Actually the the conditions he's facing would tend to make someone use social media if I had it back then I would have visited every site I could along with a Gazillion porn sites. But the Weez is to cool to look at porn

I want to change that to a "infinite" amount of porn sites

why do you even give a chit considering you don't even work here? Did your parents get screwed in your mind in the TWA deal? I doubt anyone here gives two chits about your personal vendetta against the IAM.
I'm no fan boy of either IAM or TWU but then I,m not on here like a petulant child who got his video games taken from him, just go away

TWA has been a drain on AA for years. I guess you don't remember all the threads over the years especially from MCI Transplant between Bob and AAFSC.

The IAM was quick to sell out their "members" in order for the deal to be consummated. Your dues today still pay for people at the Grand Lodge who are from TWA and haven't worked in an IAM shop for decades. That's why it's relevant.

TWU should have never agreed to this alliance or at the very least allowed the people covered under it to decide like the IBT/CWA did.

actually while I disagree with 700 on everything politics ,what I remember was him kicking your arse on a regular bases on union issues The TWU was afraid they might not win an election or couldn't spend the money to win so both of them crawled in bed with each other aand took all the money. simple stuff really

Do you really believe that the TWU has FS Members in their best interests or M/R ? Yes

Do you believe that if there was an NMB election and TWU won something would have changed? Yes, I believe we'd be in worse position.

Do you believe that the TWU is in better financial shape then the IAMAW ? If you mean as an organization, no I do not.

Do you believe that with less then 6% of private sector Workers in America having CBA's that the TWU won't need to amalgamate with another AFL-CIO Union ? The more that unions work together and pool their resources, especially in the same industries, the better position we'd be to combat corporate america. That doesn't seem to be a popular idea though.

Spot on. Kind of like an "arranged marriage". Water under the bridge. Beating a dead horse now. Time to adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

OK . One more ? for the TWU or IAM evangelists. Why does AAL/DP keep a Crew Base and TWU M/R Super- Bay at SFO costing Millions??? While Company only approves hiring PT Ass. FS Agents and continues to out-source Cargo, Utility/Cleaning, Catering, and Fueling. SFO will never be a HUB (UA/ALK), no direct INT flts. and when the weather is good operate's aprox. 60 fits. to HUBS . Who's jobs you think the TWU and Company are protecting at SFO ? By the way the most expensive cost of living area in US. CHEERS !

Maybe Roa will come back after all he/she would also vigorously defend the IAM and catering from any criticism.

I don't think there would have been an election based on the relative headcounts. Had the process moved in a reasonable clip absent sufficient showing of interest (A-cards) the IAM should have been decertified and TWU assumed representation.

The IAM has more points but the average headcount and size of the stations they have staffed is small compared to the TWU with three large hubs, two smaller hubs and a dozen large out station. CLT and PHX are the only large LUS hubs, plus at PHL and DCA most of the flying is Express work which is done by low wage low cost piedmont type outfits.

M&R TWU is significantly larger thanks to superior scope and more large stations.

It's an important market for AA that has historically performed well. Before LAA inflight was separated domestic vs int'l ("overwater" whereby Hawaii and SJU were int'l while Canada and Mexico were domestic) but the international base closed April 2011 long before the ops were combined.
