JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Many new hires and PT Members would not put any money at all into the 401k. So in that case the Company would only need to put in a 3% contribution based off the lower to bottom of the wage scale.

Otherwise the Company would have to put in whatever amount was agreed to equally to even Jr Scale members.

Big differences financially and the Company is well aware of it. (So should we be)

I agree but I wanted to clarify the contribution vs. a match. I think 3% is a significant amount for a contribution, it's more than half of the current LAA match, but I would still vote no. Although the increased 401k contribution is about the only thing I see that I can say I like.

I am scratching my head at the rest. I don't know why the company would think this could pass. Even if they don't think that, they have caused the association to become more unified in my opinion. It is not even close to a yes vote for me.

And that brings up another Item I did not see mentioned, PART TIME. I would like to get some kind of idea what AA was proposing.

Haven't heard anything on PT percentages? But if they don't shrink those caps you'll know exactly where all those overages will be going that the Company wants to outsource job functions but not move anyone out of their Stations.

TWU: None of us have any FT (or PT) Protection anymore. So say due to changes in our CBA a Station now has a large number of overages (heads) the operation doesn't need. Knock the Jr people you don't need back to the most minimum of hours and have them fill areas where OT may have been needed.

Again your $30.00 per hour guy knocked back to 4 hours per day now makes the equivalent of $15.00 per hour instead for his Bank Account and Bills.

I think the Company in what they did also caused maybe a more unified front against them.

Was it a miscalculation on their part?

OR? Do they come back down the line with a much better offer and we all get the warm and fuzzies inside thinking we broke them? (Chess)

BTW they've been doing that over and over with every workgroup since the Merger happened. Of course they're doing it again, jeez.

Oh and after reading the Negotiators update maybe that 9% offer really isn't good enough financially?

It could be better than 9%, but it is the only thing I read I can say that I like. It is not nearly enough to offset the Scope. I cannot believe how far the wage has fallen even from industry leading plus whatever. When you factor in the UA and DL profit sharing and even ours, it is not even close.

Again I think the Company is just blowing smoke up our arses. They know our Negotiators wouldn't accept it and they know we won't pass it either. They put the crap out publicly to make us feel good when they present the real deal. (Of course hoping to shave a few bucks off of their max heights they would have went)

It's psychological Chess.

Albert yes it is, I found it quite enlightening how some want our holidays and double time but when it comes to catering and insurance we should quietly and happily give it up

Hey rat you might want to hear what President Peterson has to say here about your Pension and Medical.

Cheers.

I appreciate what he had to say but more so that he put it on video, wish I saw more of that from the IAM side

Hey c'mon man. You only just got a video from Tim Nelson the other day.

Doesn't that count for something?

Thanks W. I wish someone in Fleet (TWU) who knows the details would speak up and fill in the holes.
William Fa, let's see that "high education" on display. C'mon Brian, you will be representing us in Vegas, how about spilling a few beans, rally the troops!

Pretty good..Just think, if the company did not put the letter out, we would still be in the dark!

Do the protests count for something to have maybe made the Company react to put that letter out?

Either way at this stage it's nice to see the gloves come off some.
