Maybe NYer can clarify...or W.

This is just for initial placement on the blended Master Seniority list. How we are governed for bidding, transfers, pay, layoffs or anything else done with seniority will be guided by the language in the JCBA.

An honest assessment, not what some want to hear but honest, that's all I ask for . So much for July and "The Summer of Weaasles"

"Shrugs shoulders and goes with the flow"

So.... how many lists do we need for each situation? 3-4?

That will be a sticky issue for some, especially as many expect a reduction in force once those corporate "synergies" become reality. There are still plenty of AW/US people displaced from long ago staffing cuts assuming they still have priority lifetime recall rights to their home station so long as they are in good standing with the company.

Why would it be sticky?

why would it be like a concessionary contract when this company has posted big profits in the billions and the Association is so far standing on no concessionary contract at least the statement by the association from today theres no real reason we need to give a dam thing up bob

Most people interpret "concessions" as something that is different from what we currently have, whether it involves value or language. If that is the interpretation of "concessions," then it is impossible to not have any in the JCBA.

As a matter of fact, it seems any change at all will be interpreted as a concession. Couple that with the fact that information has been sporadic and bland it seems the proper expectations have not been correctly set and the JCBA will not be well received, despite the work being done to make the best it can be.

Why would it be sticky?
Sticky... because they think they have a lifetime of recall rights under their current IAM CBA, and if the new JCBA has a relatively short time of a few years, then they can pretty much write-off ever getting called back to their home station. Might be a deal breaker for some, even those who have not be furloughed (yet).
