over 17k on fleet list, I wonder how many will actually vote on a new JCBA? a third maybe at best?

Hey SWAMT great to hear from you on here that is really nice and if you get the 12 to 15 area that's even better thanks bud

I will let you know if we do get it. Our VP of Labor Relations (a new guy) is claiming that the co. will in fact hand AMFA a revised offer from the Aug 2016 offer, with language that should lead us to a T/A after these next nego. dates 6-20 thru 6-22. Typical BS from the company and we already know the company will go backwards not forwards like they always do. Just more and more propaganda and lies about what they are gonna do. They always say one thing and do total opposite. I will update you later. It was good seeing you back out here too.

Will a guy retain his "old" company seniority for VC bidding purposes if it is different than his occupational seniority. In other words, I know a guy who has '93 company time, but 2014 occupational time. Or has it all been merged into one?? (Transferred from one TWU job to another TWU job)
Maybe NYer can clarify...or W.

This is one of the main headaches trying to get worked out. This is the issue at hand with the 3rd party arbitrator still has not made public his decision as of yet. It will more than likely go one way or the other, unless there are some kind of grand fathered language built into it. Now why are they not releasing the outcome? Well, I would tend to think so not to get all the membership on one side in an up roar, so they are keeping it quiet until a T/A is handed to the membership to be voted on, then all hell will break lose. Seems to be the way this asso. operates. You should be asking your nego cmte this question.

So, the Javits list just put out is based on occupational only and has nothing to do with company?
Many people are thinking this is a combined list and they have lost some company time. I disagreed but couldn't find clarification.

I believe that's something that needed/needs to be worked out in negotiations. By now it's probably already been settled (I'm assuming) but it won't come out which way it's going to go until we get a full JCBA.

I know if it switched to Occupational seniority you'd have a lot of pissed off TWA people, that's for sure.

AGAIN where do you come up with all this crap? You don't work for AA and you're not a part of ANY of our Unions here.

Can you PLEASE stop pretending you have anything to do with us sir and worry about your own house.

I LOVE this!!!!

At Southwest Airlines the COMPANY is the evil grinch and AMFA is the victim.

But to this man, at American Airlines the COMPANY is the good guy and the TWU/IAM Association is the evil grinch.

Freakin AMAZING. 😵

Javits was brought in by the Unions for clarity on Occupational Seniority. The Company could care less how that deck was put together as long as it didn't cause them any Legal difficulties.

Greetings everyone! Much debate on which may be the better option concerning retirement savings. Many good points and arguments have been raised. The best option, IMO, as far as the NC is concerned, would be to bring back a TA that gives each member a choice. 401K + match or IAMPF. Otherwise; I see this issue as a potential deal breaker. An issue that divides the combined membership.

Cargo I'm not going to comment on what AMT's might do but I really wouldn't give much Stock to basing any overall in general opinions on things from the minuscule active participants who post here on Forums.

I've seen postings on Fleet FB pages warning of issues with the IAMPF and they've gained little to no traffic whatsoever. Just being completely honest here.

Brothers & Sisters,

The Negotiating Committee met with American Airlines the week of June 12th, in Washington D.C. and continued negotiations on Classifications for M&R, and Promotions & Transfers, Recall, and Reduction in Force for Fleet Service among other contractual provisions. The Executive Committee was unable to reach full tentative agreements; however, progress was made in several areas, and language was agreed to in principle.

The Executive Committee, the M&R and Fleet Service Negotiating Committees continues to discuss open issues for the Articles, and why we are unable to reach tentative agreements on them. It is both disappointing and frustrating that the Company continues to make proposals that contain concessionary language that the Committees cannot accept; even when we provide counterproposals that American cannot disprove would meet their needs of service. While we all agree that progress is slowly being made, the Company still believes that we will make concessions just to reach an Agreement, which will never happen. We all want an expeditious end to negotiations, but we are not willing to simply bring back a substandard contract to get there. Our members deserve the best in the industry. Management has promised that, and so far they have failed to live up to their words.

We are all becoming more frustrated as these weeks go by, because the contract language that the Company has promised and committed to, has yet to fully materialize. The only way these negotiations will be expedited is if American Airlines management actually shows the commitment at the bargaining table they have continually promised to us; that is the industry’s best contracts for their employees.

Negotiations are scheduled to resume on the following weeks: July 17th & July 24th in Washington, DC.

Steve Miller Tim Murphy Pat Rezler Art Risley

Andre Sutton Rodney Walker Bill Wilson
