I'm not gonna get into a long drawn out debate with either one of you, I usually don't cs on or off that much.
I will just say that I have no problem with a broker and if I ever had problems getting off, I have used one to find my day. I will also go on record as saying I think it's a shame when a union member wants the company to make certain benefits more restrictive because they do not like how it's handled or it doesn't benefit them. I would bet if you polled most folks in DFW, they would say they are pleased the way the CS policy operates in it's current form.

Let me add, I have seen on more than one occasion where a member has complained about certain individuals doing this broker service and then turn right around and ask them to find the day for them.
Some funny stuff!

No argument. And I would agree most would too including me.

All I said was that I understand why it's been getting more and more restrictive over the years.

The scammers always eventually ruin a good thing for everyone else.

"The scammers always eventually ruin a good thing for everyone else."

I can't argue that, W.

AA you said you never had a problem with any of the brokers there? I guess you never used Bueno and his two phones?

And BTW I never had a problem with any of them there either. But I also stuck with the same two who I never had a problem with. (Not Bueno)

I'm wondering if FB has made everyone think they can be a good broker?

this goes back to the company x occ. time and how you could not acquire it with aa, but you could with us. at aa, i never said a peep. i understood. it's fine until it's seniority integration time. when they blended the 2 lists, i had a problem with it. so that makes one selfish? you know that some lus guys jumped over you in ways that a laa guy could not.

as far as the CSing, i don't CS much at all. but i see what goes on and who benefits from it. i have a few c/c tell me stories of everyone expecting to be 'taken care of'. i hope it gets restrictive, but i won't lose sleep over it if it doesn't. the CS policy will be a benefit now. up til now, it was always considered a privilege, a bunch of loose local agreements.

not sure what goes on in dfw. i can tell you that if 12 fscs are in a CS matrix and they hook up with 4 c/c that are also always looking to work, chances are you will do one more trip because that's the trade-off. the CS brokers look for that angle when they 'help' c/c get more hours...and some c/c are still of a mindset that a CS for them means watching tv and you do their work. this is reality, not someone whining because the CS policy doesn't work for them.

- as far as shameful, i think it's shameful that some clever union 'brothers' are always looking to get you to do their work. there are some fscs that spend more time trying to get out of work and ass-kissing than doing their j-o-b.

What does CS and C/C stand for?

What does CS and C/C stand for?

CS: Change Shift or Swap Shift in your lingo.
CC: Crew Chief or Lead in your lingo.

Fleet Service Clerk: Our lingo.
Ramp Agent: Your lingo.

Whatever language is used in the JCBA I'm sure we'll still use our own lingo for the rest of careers anyway since people really don't adapt well to change.

Why, do you fancy him?

Seems like the concensus among IAM guys is stay the current course and the TWU guys seem to be in the opposing faction of that ideology.

You may be riding that rotating Merry Go Round soon Al?

Perhaps, We IAM don't believe in stepping on and back stabbing our brothers. "What they do, they smile in your face"
