orgac not a mention of scope is a concern who knows what they want but as ive said before we should not have to give a thing up
We should pretty much expect what the company will want concerning this Article. What is disturbing is there is no mention of this outstanding Article in the latest update. Maybe this will be the last Article addressed. Maybe it will be the concession in the end. No mention, of such a big outstanding Article and issue, is concerning to me.

I agree with you bro Id also have to ask why would it be the last item? Are they having sharp differences within both groups vs the company or is there more the company wants and the union is balking at? lots of questions to be asked.

as for the profit sharing do you know how that will be divided up within the IAM lets use the 257 mill currently in the jack pot Is it based on your income as to how much will be handed out if it were today

according to the update it appears that our new wage will begin showing in workbrain as of Nov 4th and new pay period starts 7th hope they'll get an extra check for the difference from the 4th 5th and 6th since we are in the midst of a pay period that ends on nov 6th

I have a question for Charlie Brown!!!!
I hope your on and read my post!
With the looming elections, will the now seated board members keep their position until the contract is signed, I shutter at the thought of a whole new negotiating committee because they were voted out!

Bob. I know the question was put to CB, but with all due respect, I believe all incumbent Officers of the District are subject to future election results. including the Officers and Board Members that make up the current Negotiating Committee. Another fly in the soup.

Here is the new update. In the last update date the Association stated that the company had not responded to their proposals on Holiday and Sick Leave. Those two items are not mentioned at all this time. This again is totally unacceptable that either you narrowed them down yet you fail to mention it, or the company just failed to discuss them once again. The Association is a worthless piece of crap and brings absolutely nothing to the table. You are most definitely proving that "Strength in numbers" is a fallacy when you combine two greedy unions who look out for no one other than the upper levels of the organizations. This has become nothing short of sickening!

If you are referring to the IAM side, there is nothing that would unseat anyone until 2018, this is our next elections. The TWU does have a few on the current committee on their side that is up for election that could change one or two coming up in just a few weeks. But I can't really speak for them, since I don't know how they would handle that situation and if it would change anything on their side or not.

Not trying to change your opinion on the association as it seems your pretty clear on how you feel about it. But just trying to brief you a little better. Some issues once you narrow them down so far basically then get tabled. In other words, once you have exchanged them 6 - 8 times you basically tell the company not to bother passing it back if they aren't willing to move on the last one or two remaining issues. A few months ago in a email briefing I warned about this due to the issues that were coming up and that was currently on the table. Bottom line is that several of these articles are or will get to a point that the company just has to decide the cost and if and what they are willing to spend. IMO once they start to move on these last issues of articles, you will see many fall in place at the same time. Or close to the same time frame. Until then you basically start opening up other articles and narrowing the gap down to the biggest issues on them as well. It is a frustrating process, but it is just how this company negotiates. So unless you want your committee to just lay down and accept what we think would be a concession to one side or the other side of the association. Then we move forward and start working on other articles.

Sorry, I was talking about the twu side.

It'd be interesting to know if there be 6 weeks or may be 7 vacation weeks and if our sick wld be paid in full first day. No other airline I believ has our sick policy

I believe if you look at the recently ratified Sims Tech contract, you will get your answer.

robbed, when it comes to vacation bidding, do you guys bid all your vacation at once based on seniority, or do you bid a week, then the next guy in line bids and so forth and once everyone has bid a week it comes back to you for week two.
At AA, we bid all at once. I bid my five weeks, then the next person (by seniority) bids his five weeks.

Bob, as you know, Brian Oyer is our President and is on the negotiating committee as well. I was told if he loses the election (results to be announced Tuesday) he will be replaced on the negotiating committee.
Not sure if that is true or not, but that is what I was told. Yes, I did vote for Brian.

Thank you cargo,
But just about 45 min ago, an AA 767 caught fire in ORD, right engine failure and has melted the wing, just so everyone knows.
