Look in your AA e-mail, it is explained in a letter sent to all TWU-IAM members this morning.

With that, I think I will have some extra shrimp with my lunch.
Shrimp and Eggs?

This is just a stopgap measure so the company can proceed with it's agenda.

The company could have ended this negotiating process long ago if they wanted to, but now it has become a hindrance.

Look at the work groups and the circumstances when they got a contract. Each one (pilots, flight attendants, above the wing agents, dispatchers) came about as a result of the company needing something.

Right now the company needs 2 things. Improved morale among fleet and M&R and cross utilization. This pay increase is s stopgap measure put in place to address those two things without a jcba (would just take too long and they need these things today).

The remaining 2 groups without a contract (Sim Engineers and FCTIs) will continue to wait until the company's needs require a jcba for them. How long? Who knows :)

But meanwhile, I have to give a huge SHOUT OUT to you guys and gals on this deal. It's beyond well deserved and I'm happy for you.

I thought the iam promised $2 in your pension?
This agreement isn't the final word. Actually give the IAM points for recognizing that the IAMPF needed to get an increase to reflect the increase that the TWU got with added wages, since the 401k is based on wages. I'll give credit where credit is due and even though it is a small amount, give credit to the IAM to make sure that our IAMPF reflects the wage increase. That said, I'm thinking the IAM will get at least $1.85 with a TA. I'm not a proponent of the IAMPF, but I know others disagree with me. The pension future benefit now goes from $51 to $58. Also, as Ned has told me, previous side bars indicate that the company will keep cargo, keep catering with possible expansion, and explore express work for us where not in conflict. So, things look better for this Association.

the only clarity I've is apparently I'm worth .59 an hou rless for the same job which now will feature more AA metal in CLT I suspect than my AA counterpart

I guess WP can finally get around to paying the speeding ticket before he winds up in the hoosegow!
Had to go to court to postpone it this morning . I had to leave a $40 bond my new date is Dec 12. From what I saw no bargaining in NYC just guilty or not, even with lawyer . The only hope is if the cop doesn't show. So eventually I will get the six point and hope the insurance doesn't find out
