JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet. **New and improved 2.0 version**

Separate bids, separate vacation. Overtime should be by classification.

The JCBA addresses it and is a good compromise rumor has it.

And like I said you seem to only care about OT, which is controlled by the company, way more important articles in the CBA than OT.

There are 39 other stations, not just MIA.

The Negotiating Committee represents everyone, not just MIA.

The stations affected by the deicing language can voice their concerns over that.
The stations affected by the catering can voice their concerns over that.
The stations affected by openings or closures can voice their concerns over that.
The maintenance groups affected by potential outsourcing can voice their concerns over that.
The IAM can voice their concerns over the pensions.
The IAM can voice their concerns over the medical.
In MIA, we can voice our concerns over the part of the CBA that has the biggest, thus far, potential impact for us.

Everyone has language and issues to affect them differently than it affects others. Doesn't mean their concerns aren't as important as the concerns from other Members in other cities, departments or even unions. You don't agree, fine, but then again you're not TWU and you're not in MIA.

Exactly. Sharing information with the Debate Captain doesn’t mean the Debate is going to be won.

A convincing argument needs to be done in person vocally.
Or will the debate team even discuss it when the person passing on the information chose not too participate?

If it is so important why did 568’s President choose not to be in the negotiations?

Guess he really doesn’t care about his members when he made the choice not to be in the talks.

Actions speak louder than words.

Here's what I think about the company's proposal. I view it as just another of bottle of tainted potion from yet another Corporate Carpetbagger...
I wonder if it works on stains?

This is what was happening at the time, including some details that have been forgotten to history.

"American Airlines Inc., in a surprise move, this week is to announce plans to buy financially troubled Trans World Airlines Inc., effectively ending one of the oldest names in U.S. aviation history, industry sources said yesterday."

"At the same time, American has reached an agreement to buy 49 percent of DC Air, the airline being created by Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson, and is close to a deal with United Airlines Inc. to jointly operate the US Airways Shuttle on routes from Washington to New York and Boston."

"All three deals are to be announced Wednesday, sources familiar with the negotiations said. Cost figures were not available yesterday."

"The moves are part of a complex deal designed to address federal antitrust concerns about United's proposed merger with US Airways Group Inc. as well as to improve American's competitive position in the United States. The acquisition of TWA would make American comparable in size to the combined United and US Airways after the planned merger. United already is the nation's largest airline." --January 2001, Washington Post

I think AA also was also to get some slots in LGA and other things.I don't understand the need to be the biggest. What was TEAs biggest asset their planes, equipment and people were ancient

It isn't a choice. There have been seats open in the Fleet NC for months, which haven't been filled. MIA has shared their willingness to serve on several occasions but the vacated seats remained vacant.

After the election in ORD, we were down to 3, if you count an International Rep as one of them.

It would have given AA a bigger presence in the eastern corridor and allowed them to gain slots in NYC, specifically with the LGA shuttle and JFK landing slots.

That’s lame. I have two, and don’t work OT. I’d rather be hanging out with them, anyway.
More power to you then.Does your town have its own post office? Good old Mr Drucker and is that Otis getting drunk again.

This has been and always will be an absolute and complete bold faced lie. If President Sidney Jiminez really wanted to be at those Negotiations since the TWU is autonomous (Well shown BTW) he would have requested in writing to be included and if that was denied he would have the documented proof by response that he was denied.

This game has grown wearisome.

At the end of this week ALL TWU Presidents have been informed to report to DCA for further information. I would suspect once again for Brother Jiminez to be a no show as he also was the ONLY TWU Presidents not to go to last years TWU Convention, despite his sorry excuse why.

And the play on words is BS too. MIA is represented by Sidney Jiminez as President and Sidney Jimenez has NOT asked to serve period.

Oh and since TWU Local 512 ORD was mentioned I’ll bet anyone $1000.00 that the new President Juan Elvira will be at the meeting this week. And if he needs to fill that chair I can also bet he knows it will be both his duty and his honor to do so.

Was he asked to attend by the powers too be?

Even though this has been beaten to death now and is completely asinine ask NYer.

NYer was “””Sidney Jiminez””” asked to join the TWU side of the Fleet Negotiating committee?
