That's probably why they're going through the current exercise and if it is, don't be surprised if some of the items mentioned in these pages as being an issue, like the pay compared to DL rather than UA, the deicing and maybe even the catering is somehow modified to turn current "no" votes into "maybe" or "yes."
"F" the pay between other companies, what about the differences just between LUS and LAA FSCs, how long has LUS enjoyed x2 rate on holidays, the savings in the cost of medical, and and the continued contribution to their pension.

Actually as a purely psychologically manipulative maneuver I could see this happening.

Publicly lower the expectations and then pretend to capitulate.

When PIT and PHL built their Deicing pad US Airways mechanics staffed it I was informed.

So that information alone should tell anyone that your “guess” on what could occur in ORD is doubtful.

Besides why would the City want to add further to their own employment rolls?

No if we accept and vote out Deicing work it’s AA who will hire and contract it out to a vendor to lower costs and limit their personal liabilities.

NO.
The city certainly can contract Out with American
But the ordinance shifts all deicing away from gates at the new pad. I'm sure united may bid on the work as well as there is nothing to support your comment (once again)That we can't lose Ord deicing. It will be up to the city. If you can't understand that then this conversation has been exhausted.
Otherwise, phl and pit never had deicing in scope. Never. And fleet deiced for piedmont in clt prior to the usair merger....not mx. I know because I deiced.

Makes sense. Superfly said the "Take it or leave it" offer will extend LUS health care one more year, and compensate catering by opening up PHL and CLT cargo.
Not that I agree. CLT and PHL cargo would only be about 150 jobs, whereas catering is 500. The IAM can toss in fake numbers and say it is a wash and that those 2 cargo centers will equal catering but it clearly would be about half the work. But catering is gone as the company pulled that off the table just recently.
And extending LUS health care one more year is basically just a $1,600 bonus check, right? But it appears that management believes a deal is likely and that there is nothing more to give. You wouldn't get that by reading the Associations blistering letter. This should all be considered hearsay and for entertainment purposes only.
^^^prior to the company video^^^
I keep telling you guys but you dont listen.

I'm losing money and company is saving money when comparing my iam pension with only a 5% 401k.
Company contributes 5% on all pay with 401, only contribute up to 40 hours in pension.
As of the final offer, company wants out of pension. I do too.

”””””””””there is nothing to support your comment (once again)That we can't lose Ord deicing”””””””””””.

Where did I say this? I said the City “can’t” take over Deicing? Where?

Birdie says that the Company only want to contribute and match on your BASE wages and not include any extra hours?

Wow if that’s true Tim it really shoots a hole in your foot for Rockerfella Banking.

Not a goddamn thing. Welcome to the boards. Have fun.

Anyone have an idea on how many jobs/manhours are dedicated to driving for either carrier?

They definitely are moving to pads; that’s part of the huge infrastructure plan for ORD laid out a couple of years ago.

Not sure about the City working it, though.
Im surprised cities would take the liability, if something goes wrong, wow...

As long as the language has been in their CBA.

Freight should be in addition to Catering and even expanding it out to other cities.

I think Airline Management has already shystered enough of our work in the last 30 years already.
Weez wake up step up to reality we have 50,000 more employees than.a competitor that takes in almost the same revenue

Those Companies have the same amount of workers Al. They just chose to not have as many actual employees on their direct books.
