Projection and/or flipping doesn’t suit you.

FFS, have some pride in what we do*.

*We generate revenue.

I have a lot of pride in what I do. But I don’t need the validation. What we do is occasionally very hard work. It’s back breaking work. It’s dirty sweaty body damaging work. And it’s also admirable work that doesn’t at least to me to need a special title put in front of it even if others want to put one there.

And BTW the entire operation generates revenue so what.

Sorry Kev but I just DO NOT and NEVER HAVE liked people who think a little too highly of themselves. It REALLY gets on my nerves.

And sometimes yes “flipping” is warranted.

Those are all valid descriptions. Not sure why you shy away from them.

You’re kidding, right?

Good for you. I’m not cocky; I just refuse to buy into the whole “bricks in a backpack” narrative. You clearly have, which frankly, bums me the F out.

Now that I’m a little more senior, I also feel obligated to leave things a little better than I found them- just as my predecessors tried to do. You apparently have decided to bet the other way?

Kev chill out and get down off the ledge right now. You’re absolutely over dramatizing here.

Being humble doesn’t imply capitulation you should understand. Being humble is a noble trait.

Good for you that we BOTH want to leave things better than we found them and have a built up legacy to share. But there’s a difference between reaching for the sky and shooting for the moon as well that should be taught.

You need to temper aspirations that may wind up being at least slightly unreasonable or unrealistic.

And that doesn’t mean stifling growth.

I personally don’t see us quite in the same position here myself.

Translation: “Aim low and keep your head down. Don’t rock the boat.”

You know who else used to say that? Our good friend in Brazil.

I just got to the employee parking lot and am spitting the words out of my mouth that you want to put there.

Absolutely rock the boat and enjoy the ride even. But don’t rock the boat and tip it over because you ate too much cause maybe you’ll drown.

Serious question anyway if you don’t mind answering it here? When and where have you rocked the boat lately? Your last rally for fairness was? Last time you were on camera telling the World what your Company does wrong to its workforce?

I don’t think I recall even seeing you in those recent IAM organizing group meetings pictures? Were you at one?

Yes.

I couldn’t make this last one in MSP, but my son and I were at the previous one.

Great too see some old friends, and “new voices” both.

Great. Excellent. Remember small gestures can have large meanings and results.

Rat, I have some advice for you, and all others that read here... The Union Leadership is NOT the union, the MEMBERSHIP is!
Now, having said that, remember that the leadership can be replaced, as you well know!
In terms of union leaders with condescending attitudes, I agree... there is no place for that.

My point is this...

If a leader, or anyone else attacks the Memberships' intelligence, they are omitting the very factor that got them to their position to begin with, and that is the "collective IQ" of the ENTIRE workgroup. As a whole cohesive group, the represented group calls the shots regarding everything from deciding on representation, leader elections, and ratified contracts. However, we need to remember the following when we read here and elsewhere.

There are elements here, that want to keep the collective uneducated in certain selective terms. As a matter of fact, I think they have told you that you are unintelligent, misinformed, and lazy... am I correct?

Good examples of this have been posted thousands of times here over, and over for years. These are attempts to drill an alternate reality into our heads. The reasons are to misguide, and redirect ire away from the Company, and toward the Union and it's Leaders. It's a 'divide and conquer' strategy that has thus far only succeeded in a 'divide and weaken' --with intermittent results.

Never underestimate our collective intelligence, and keep your eye on the prize, not the carnival barker!
The problem is that none of us are members of our collective bargaining rep.
Otherwise, the union is the masses and the labor organization is not the union. It is a organization that we pay for services and could be fired. I wonder how much time before the twu becomes our bargainer? Many see no reason or benefit for the association or iam after a jcba.

So i heard sito flopped today. Dodged questions and refused to answer what his exit strategy was.
Yes they said his mouth was moving but nothing of substance was coming out.Scored low on Exit Polls Is it true that the Weez was going to fly in and be Sitos valet but the flights were full?

I think weez needs to focus on actually doing the job american pays him to do instead of blowing off flights and dreaming about sito. Weez reputation scores for being a good worker are in a sore need of a tuneup I hear. People do think he is a pleasant guy but say he is unusually lazy and seemingly a busybody undercutting his Local Prez who is doing a great job.

Weez, as your friend, i think you need to take a short break from putting out all the fires regarding the missteps of Sito. That way you can redouble your efforts when we need you to continue supporting us when more and more twu peeps get edgy over the stall.
Not saying you shouldn't keep communication open with Josh and Alex because Alex will need serious support and encouragement and i admire his stance that he will fight till the end to secure and restore the elusive previous laa health insurance.
And be careful commenting 200 times a day while you are suppose to be loading flights. Company policies restrict that.
