I suppose all the union big shots are enjoying their 3 day weekends along with everyone else in the company while the membership goes to work for straight time.
 
Yes the company did not have anyone there that could make a decision. So despite what the company has said they are delaying negs with the help of the iam and the twu. Jim Weel cannot even make a decision. I'm sure it has something to do with how jerry glass gets paid. You have to here about it here because that is the way the iam and the twu does business. This is another reason why the association will never allow us to observe negs. The more information we have as members takes more power away from the association.  
 
I SHOULD expect to hear from union leaders that, AA is stalling our negotiations after giving other unions contracts within months. That info should be passed through stewards and then to us. Ask a steward what info he has for us. I get, check the website.

Why do I pay union dues? So some slug can get fired and our local pays $60k to save his job. Hey that's the money the company was going to give us for 2 raises my union turned down.

More RUMORS I have heard.

Company will allow you to bid days off and shift, but manager will assign you to hangar or terminal. Sounds like they want to assign ER crew with the guys they want on the crew. I guess park crew will be the rogue mechs.

We will get top pay ONLY with accountability clause. Sleeping, not performing up to standards, stealing, numerous AC damage, sick abuse, you will be let go.

 Managers and supervisors cant get a handle on what they're doing now and you're going to give them an additional task of assigning people to an area?  LOL  Then on top of that putting people where they don't want to be just gives folks more of an excuse to "walk the dog" . I doubt such things will improve the operation.
 
The bottom line is, we ALL know ways to streamline and make things run more efficiently, but who's gonna come forward and suggest it? No one!!  So, as a result the company squanders a huge source of information that could put them into the next level, but instead they mistreat people and barely anyone will help them from their hole they've dug themselves into.

Let's be honest, if management can't run the operation under this current contract, then they shouldn't be in management. I can tell you one thing, if I'm taking my tools lunch, tablet back and forth to the hangar everyday, I won't be too happy. You need a contract that gives the supervisors a carrot and a stick, not all stick.

A side note, a supv shouldn't have to check with a manager for something as little as a PL or PH. This operation is too big to micro manage or complex to not to take the input of the crew chiefs who handle the work load.
 
At some LUS stations the supervisors are assigning mechanics where they wish.....you bid your shift and days off and they assign your work area, you cause waves into the penalty  box you go...the Unions response..."they can do that"
 
In Fleet (LAA) we have had some supervisors come in and threaten that, shift, days off, and then all were as assigned at managements discretion. I think they realized that was a bad bad idea and never followed though on it. I also think the TWU said they could do that as well but the process of assigning had to go by seniority and it would be a clusterfu**.

Another holiday lost, 13 years now. I'm sure the IAM side of the house enjoyed their 2.5x Holiday pay. Thx again TWU.Im sure our "representatives" enjoyed a well deserved day off.

the twu dose not care. They got three holiday off. After taking it away from us. But they do not care .nas long as they get there pay and benefits and big pay checks. They want our dues money to live there levish life sityle . And will cut our pay to keep jobs so they loose no dues money. Shame on you twu

That's the million dollar question. When we all wake up and realize we are screwed. After running through the AMT day photos and comments on jetnet you can see we are still divided. Majority of the comments express similar to what we all talk about here. The concern was looking at photos of the celebrations in ORD, Tulsa, STL, San Juan, PHX, and others stuffing their faces and appear to be enjoying the moment.
Until all stations are finally fed up including the USAIR stations a card drive will be a big waste of time.

as we can see how negotiations are going. The association and the company draging there're feet After 5 months and nothing really happening . Plus the fact the twu has kept our equity and has been unable to get our company prefunding match back. Both the company and twu owe us a lot of money. There several things we can do information picketing the company and twu. Go to dues check off To self pay. Pay in all penny's . We need to get off our duffs and fight the twu Iam corruption . Of holding on to our money and there inability to negotiation pay raises and benfits it seems they only know how to give into the company
