JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA AMTS

Well.. another week of negotiations and little to no movement on less significant articles. A weak showing, I predict a long drawn out negotiation which will end up in mediation. The airline is in robust times and our representives cant seem to even get through the "gimmes".

On top of this no calls by our leadership to apply any pressure. Wouldn't a holiday weekend be the right time?
An informational picket, maybe inform the public?

With all the tsa headlines, a bunch of picketing mechanics would have negative publicity as well and sure to get exposure possibly by national media outlets. To late now, yet another missed opurtunity.

The company laughs at our foolishness. Keep em flyin boys!! Have some bbq and a cheap headlamp.

we definitely need to do information picketing. The twu to my reflection has never done that in my 31 years . I rembers pilots and flight attendants picketing the board of directors meetings. But the twu isn't called the company union for nothing

I thought the comittee spent the better part of a year developing language? Wtf... Did I miss something? I thought the comprehensive proposal was presented at the start?

Field Trips/Travel Pay M&R, MLS, MTS & MCT - Your committee has developed language to adequately address the memberships concerns related to this article and is prepared to submit our proposal to the company during the next negotiating session.

Field Trips, travel pay? What a joke, over here on the LUS side the only road trips are to previously closed Mtc stations where guys should be ashamed to accept.  Most all else is farmed out or covered by LAA. In 25 years I can count the number of road trips I have been on with my 10 fingers.....Cant wait till the update comes with regards to pay and medical....We have gone from Parker stating "Delta +7" to "Industry Comparable"....with oil cracking $50 barrel we will be luck not to take concessions.....

Would be nice to see the ASSociation start a little PR campaign in the form of informational picketing or news media to let the general public know what is going on...

5 months! 5 months to TA 20 articles! 20/47 articles in the LAA twu CBA. 18 LOM yet to be addressed. Good grief, at this rate it will be Spring of 2017 before these clowns get it done. Meanwhile it is costing AMTS a minimum of $400/week. More lost holidays, sick time and 401K contributions! Why we ,as a group, put up with this. I will never understand. End of rant. Happy Memorial Day!

How long did it take the FA's to get to an agreement or the other groups? Both sides need to be flexible your point on not even being able to get the giveme's done is telling. Makes you think are the right people representing your best interests!

Pilots and flight attendants have one union representing them respectively. Less complicated than what we have.

We have:
AA vs USAIR
TWU vs IAM
AA overhaul vs AA line
AA line vs USAIR line
TWU overhaul vs IAM overhaul
USAIR line vs USAIR overhaul
The company vs the Association
The International vs the TWU membership
The International vs the IAM membership

Did I leave any other combination out?
One can say that we are fortunate to have gotten this far in negotiations.

Great way to illustrate the cluster - it is amazing and speaks to why the groups should separate

We are not that smart enough. The proof is in the past drives. We deserve everything that is coming our way. The majority won't be around if and when we finally wise up and separate ourselves from the TWU-IAM Association.

This will drag on forever. Hell I'm surprised they TAed 1 article. The week before they didn't get that done. All because Jerry Glass was not even at negotiatios and nothing can be agreed on unless he is there. The company tells everyone they are not slowing down negs but their hired gun isn't there. Who is lying more the company or the union. I guess United's negs are more important to him to him than ours.

Wait a minute, are you saying that the company had no one there to negotiate and make agreements?  If so, hows come our beloved association says nothing about this? Hows come we have to hear about shenanigans like this here?

I suppose all the union big shots are enjoying their 3 day weekends along with everyone else in the company while the membership goes to work for straight time.

I guess the big ones you didn't add would be the title groups 1 - 5 under the TWU umbrella, and if that were not enough - the different classifications within each title group.  If anybody thinks the TWU along with the company didn't play a role at the NMB in saddling licensed AMTs with all these other title groups to dilute our votes to get out of this one size fits all organization would be kidding themselves.  Hence, Maintenance & Related.  Then you have the "chosen few", the dispatchers & sim techs, and to a lesser extent the Tech Service guys.  It would have been better just having AMFA negotiate for the AMTs at AA.

To the twu enjoy your Memorial Day off . The day we used to get as one of our 10 holidays. That you negotiated away . But Lombardo will have that day off. Let's see what's good for the goose should be good for the gander. You took our Thursday after thanksgiving away also . For the people who had to work and be away from there family's you took away double time and a half! Also . You took a week of vacation away from everyone . Plus the biggie you took big cuts out of our pay. You took the amt profession down to the bottom and all the airlines followed . You did this all in about two weeks. And you got rid of the normal written mail in vote ,to a phone in vote to a company ran by a ex aa vp . The twu said there lawyers and finance people reads the books. And I guess they missed the part where aa had 5 billion in cash. Ok twu/Iam the company is making record profits . But instead of talking about money scope holidays vacation s etc etc you been at talks 5 months and you can only get tas on uniforms and other related stuf. I bet it would be different if Lombardo made what the lowest paid twu member did plus liveing under the rest of the awful contract . I bet this last 5 months would be different. twu/Iam you need to take this couple of weeks before next session of talks and first arrange informational picketing at the airports hdq and the board of directors meeting! Call the tv stations up and inform them aa is useing a union busting jerry glass . Do not give into glass skd to goto ual talks. Start playing parkers vids of I want to do good by the amts with we got good things for there contract. Delta plus 7 he should be held to. Let the news media start asking those questions to him . Force jerry glass out if he can not be at the meetings . The company should send someone else when glass is not there. The company has pleanty of Chiefs to send to the meetings. Twu/iam it's time you grow a pair and serve your member and not the company. I was being sarcastic on you enjoying Memorial Day off .
