I heard from a friend at NWA at my city--ABE-- that they are going to be losing their jobs as NWA will outsource the city? is it true and if so, how many cities are going with it? and who would take over?

Well it all comming back to me now. Last year when Pinnacle Airlines, Whole owned company of NWA, Did it last year in PNS, TLH, PFN, I think no one responed to me. On this site. Also I've been staying Airlink employees are working DC 9 flights in CHS and SGF again not response except a ALPA person. The Company Airlink used is GAT www.gatags.com.Also in JAC Worldwide Flights Services work the JAC- MSP turnes.

i do not know how true it is but this much i do know is is that ABE is now all EXPRESS for NWA. all they have now is CRJs, sometimes a BAE-146 or RJ-85. They used to fly the SABB-340 but not sure if they still do.

who will be rplacing the workers or are the original folks staying at these cities? also what company is taking over at these out stations?

We will call them what they are; SCABS and SCAB CONTRACT COMPANIES.

Question: at what point in time do scab labour cease to be scab labour. Is it when NW tears up the contracts with the unions, or is when the last former mechanic finds alternative work, or is it when the union says the strike is over? I'm not flaming or looking to get flamed, it's a genuine question.

Holy grammar and spelling, Batman...

Pinnacle is not, and has not been a WHOLLY owned affilate of NWA, since NWA used Pinnacle to shore up the value of NWA employee pensions. In November 1993, 9E was spun off as a private company.

Airlink employees are not working NWA flights in CHS. CHS is still a mainline station. They may be in SGF, I know they are in LEX. Thats because those cities are Airlink stations. Current contract allows it.

Will other stations be outsourced? Nobody knows yet. If the agents want to go into denial like the mechanics did, then yes, the job will probably be outsourced. But last I heard it sounds like most of the remaining unions (except PFAA) have decided to work with the company to keep jobs, but address the current reality. At this point, who knows?

here's another question: since NWA pulled the last of their DC-9s out of ABE, all they operate now are either CRJs and/or a RJ-85--BAE-146 plane. What is the official status of ABE? Is it an express-airlink or are they still considered outsourced station and if so what ois the contractor's name?
