Invols to PHX or bump and flush

Any idea when and who will have to go differences training?

That's a good thought about the cost-savings using the invols. I suppose that recurrent and differences would be much less money going out. And there's the bonus of getting employees already experienced to the company and the job!

true...but it would be a lot less expensive and would only be days compared to weeks to do "differences" training instead of starting fresh from scratch off the streets.

The whole idea here is to save $$$ and utilize the resources we already have, isn't it? I'm sure this would be a good idea in DP's eyes.
One of the updates said that the company proposed bringing back the invols with longevity for pay purposes (on the HP payscale). And being at the bottom of the HP seniority list until integration. My question is that alot of the invols are only in 2nd and 3rd year for pay and if the RSV at HP is like 1 1/2 to 2 years then how would the invols be making that much more than the RSV's at HP? The most senior of the invols are at 4 year pay and the 4 year pay at HP is pretty much what starting pay was at East anyway (well when I started it was $19.05/hr). Anyway my point being is that I think the company wants the invols back and that the West union is the one delaying it. And if they are that short that must suck for the RSV's at West.

I don't have the numbers for the invols. I wonder how many would want to come back. Some have taken jobs with other airlines; some have surely just decided aviation is just too unstable.

Here's something I just thought of, if they went through the list of the invols and still didn't get enough, would they have to recall the voluntaries?

I think that there is something that says that they would be forced to come back (or at least have to start returning) but the last I heard that was during the VF1 way back in 2001. Where is PITBULL at these days? She knows all of that!!! Or maybe the VFLR people would start coming back?

By the way Dea, love the hair!! and where did you get those glasses? The things we could do with a nice pair like that!!!!

Yes and DP agreed to bring the invols back - then the West MEC said no way - not unless we have pay parity - so they are using invols as a negitiating tool and they should be ashamed - what goes around comes around, I hope they wake up and see that no matter how long you delay it, it is going to happen - when invols come back it will be at their seniority and their longevity pay - so give it up already, and do the right thing!!!

exactly.....we are setting this up for a very complicated integration when the time comes by hiring additional people when we've already got the F/A's waiting to come back to work.
