If Us Airways Can Make It Till Year End...

How about a CEO that realizes he runs a "service" industry.

If you continue to beat down on the employees, what kind of "service" do you think they will provide?

It ain't rocket science!!

700,
I know what is going on. 35 years in PIT! I am not blind!
 I have lived in a HUB city for 35 years and I know Uair employees that are on the street with 15 to 18 years of service to this company and have to start over.
XJT, you are not employed by US you do not know what is going on but you may think you do and you have not lived it.

I believe he is at Price Waterhouse

NEW YORK -- PricewaterhouseCoopers announced today that Greg Brenneman, currently Chairman and CEO of TurnWorks, Inc. and formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Continental Airlines, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of PwC Consulting, effective immediately. PwC Consulting is the management consulting and technology services business of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Brenneman, 40, will report to the Chairman and Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Samuel A. DiPiazza, Jr., until the separation of PwC Consulting from PricewaterhouseCoopers, later this year. Mr. Brenneman will report to the Board of the new PwC Consulting company after the separation is complete.

Tom O'Neill, 57, former CEO of PwC Consulting, will become Chairman of the Board of PwC Consulting. In this capacity he will continue to help lead the process to separate the business from PricewaterhouseCoopers, and will remain involved in formulating the company's strategy going forward and maintaining relationships with key clients.

For six years, as President and Chief Operating Officer of Continental Airlines, Mr. Brenneman helped lead the carrier from many years of losses to renewed profitability and prominence. In addition, Continental became one of the country's most consistently reliable airlines in the world, and one of the 100 Best Places to Work as ranked by Fortune magazine.

Mr. Brenneman will be leaving his current post as Chairman and CEO of TurnWorks, Inc., a private equity firm he founded in 1994. Prior to Continental and TurnWorks, Mr. Brenneman was a Vice President at Bain and Company, Inc., where he specialized in corporate turnarounds as a Bain partner and member of the Executive Committee of the Board. Mr. Brenneman earned his MBA with distinction at Harvard Business School and a BA in Accounting/Finance summa cum laude from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas.

"In Greg Brenneman we have found an accomplished, experienced executive who understands the unique opportunities and challenges of leading a public company in a time of transition, while bringing considerable consulting experience to his role," said Mr. DiPiazza of PricewaterhouseCoopers. "Greg's drive for change and performance are the right combination as he leads PwC Consulting through its separation from PricewaterhouseCoopers."

"Greg brings tremendous capabilities and experiences to his new role at PwC Consulting, and is the ideal executive to head our team. I look forward to working with him," said Mr. O'Neill of PwC Consulting.

"I am excited to join the professional men and women of PwC Consulting. Our company has some of the best talent in the world, an incredible client base, and an exciting future," said Mr. Brenneman. "Technology will continue to be used for competitive advantage and we will continue to help our clients drive results."

MIKE W,
I am sorry about my post.
:(
One doesn't often see that on a public discussion board. Interesting, and commendable.

Back to topic, Mr. Bethune would never stoop to running Airways. He has established himself as a winner and he is approaching his golden years, he certainly doesn't need the aggravation. It's time for him to relax and enjoy his nice toys.

I expect to see him frequently on the business shows commenting on the industry and playing the part of elder statesman.

Ya know Piney Bob.....I have been wondering where you have been that last few days...did management get ahold of you and give you a good talking to??? ;)

1. MX should stop pushing A/C off the gate. ($$$ save). Take pride in your A/P ticket and get back to the hanger and use it.

3. PIT deicers, now that's a good thought to save some $$$, getting ride of white gold and look at farming this out. Again its about the dues and $$$ for the M/X troops to make overtime dueing winter ops, not about the labor cost that Uair will have for this to be kept in house.

The list could go on!!!!!!!
I just love your list of people you think should give up a job !

You seem to be misinfomed if informed at all.

Line maint. staffing has been cut back to the extent that mechanics do not even have time to park or push aircraft and are only available for maint. calls and air starts. Taking pride in your A/P ticket back at the hangar does nothing for the plane full of pax at the gate.

PIT deicers and white gold are words that don't go together.
PIT line gets NO OVERTIME to deice our aircraft, commuter aircraft and other airlines as needed.
When deicing is not required deice crews are used to fill in for manpower shotages in other line areas as well as other departments thus eliminating the need for overtime in those areas as well.

And although you say the list could go on I don't care to see it !

YOU NEED TO GET OUT MORE

 This stand is closed because i dont have one any more.
SEll it maybe i can get some of my money back from the stock. I have to look out for myself because the company and i know the union sure wont do that.
DOCTOR DOCTOR DOCTER BONNER PLS SELL yOU MUST SO YOU DONT GO BROKE ON YOUR INVESTMENT.
