Forgetting a few facts, as usual, aren't we? B6 came into ATL to compete with two (not one) airlines, both with hubs. B6 also only started out with one or two routes out of one gate IIRC. My example was if the the almighty, omnipotent, all-powerful (that's an ego booster, done just for you 777

) Delta was the only hub carrier left.
First non-profitable quarter in 17 years, blah blah blah. What does it say about the "world's largest, most powerful mega-airline" when they can't boast of having the same stellar record. Losing a billion one quarter, then reporting a few hundred million in profit later is not exactly the business plan I would put forth as an example for others to follow; profitable for 17 years, then one quarter unprofitable? I'll take that any day, and only your pride prevents you from admitting the same. And, that one unprofitable quarter won't come close to preventing WN from going anywhere they damn well choose, your "safe to say" uninformed opinion not withstanding.
There's not enough people at DL/NW who share your "we're the biggest, we're the biggest, rah rah rah" attitude from keeping the post-merger carrier from being successful. But, it is that attitude from enough employees like you that will ensure a steady flow of disgruntled passengers flowing to "brand X" to keep me employed. And for that 777, I'm indebted to you.
