IBT vs IAM

You have not secured heavy mtc work in 8 years, and in the past 2 years you have not gotten a new contract.

Yep you sure can accomplish a lot.
We Have done this or did you forget Mr-7. <_<

1.Heavy MX (C-CK)and(BACK SHOPS) Were FARMED OUT Before The TEAMSTERS Were VOTED IN. Be for The IBT Was Voted In The Company(AWA)SOLD ALL THE C-CK TOOLS.

2.For The Past 2 Or So Years The Company Has Been Dragging It Feet On Our Contract Just Doing Enough To Keep The Arbitration Out And Giving A TA'ed Item To Look Like They Were In Good Faith Right Up To The Cut Off. (Single Carrier Status)

Not Hard To See What The Company (AWA) NOW THE NEW US AIR
Was UP TOO.

They (AWA) Do Not Play Nice In The Sand Box.

Good Morning 7,

I see you are spreading your garbage again. That is correct we don't have "heavy mtc" here....but we have our jobs. We don't have a new contract yet.....but we have our jobs. We have increased the work accomplished by the back shops...and we still have our jobs. We have even hired more AMT's.....and we still have our jobs.

The IAM has not kept the jobs of it's members...I don't consider that a positive thing for the IAM. Some of the other crafts are going to be feeling the "wonderful" effect of the IAM. Can you sing praises about that too..7.

:)

The IAM has kept members employed, the company only wanted 700 mechanics total, there are still 2,000.

Keep trying.

Call me when Timco and Aeroman stop overhauling ALL your planes.

ROFL....If the company wanted 700 mechanics then there would be only 700 mechanics. Remember the BK judge that you like to blame all the IAM problems on?

You are still spreading your garbage 7. Try providing some positive and complete information about the IAM.........Hmmm..you can't do it can you. Except to say that you still have your job.

Pitiful just pitiful........ :)

The person who thinks he knows it all speaks again, and he has no idea of what he speaks about again.
Amazing how you have to reply in every topic on every thread.
Compare apples to apples, not oranges.
Keep trying.

BOY IS THIS THE POT CALLING THE KETTEL BLACK.

Gee more ibt propaganda.

Funny the stock clerks at US have been on the certification for 57 years with the Mechanic and Related.

Ahhhh....7...all that means is it took 57 plus years to correct a mistake. Your IAM at work... :)

Maybe we don't have HM But our back shops or making money repairing componets and overhaul them. Can you say that???

What's this 7.....work for Timco? :)

We may have not gotten the heavy checks back yet but we did get the back shops reopened - brought back groups of techs when we got the phase checks back in house - so I think the score is around 250 added jobs just in Phoenix under our first TEAMSTER CONTRACT - so lets see during the same time period how many jobs did the IAM bring in ? Oh I am sorry I forgot the IAM went the other direction on things - let's see here -
1. How many laid off and many with no hope of coming back
2. Oh wait I forgot you began outsourcing - oh my!!
3. Wage consessions
4. Multiple Benefit cuts

But wait the IAM is better cause?? Damn can't think of a single reason other than you say so, not to mention my own experience in that so called union. Should be called the company union.

Our record over the last 8 years is better than yours - our current pay and benefits is better than yours and we did that with out having the company make us vote anything twice - the IAM is not good enough to wipe the
TEAMSTER'S @&*.

And again, read AG's letter. It's very enlightening especially for those of us that have not been intimately involved the past few years. And really, why hasn't the IAM responded to AG's letters??? Same reason there's been no response/filing that is owed to the NMB?? IMO, the response is due to the members AND the NMB.

Gee guess you never heard of two bankruptcies in two years.

ibt gives concessions at CAL for the AMTs, allow highest % of outsourcing.

We had to give up things to survive, things that you never have had.

It was a choice of no jobs or half the jobs.

Don't let reality get in the way of your rants.

And there will be jobs coming back in when we take over the heavy mtc of your A320 family and 50% of the 737s.

Keep trying.

Are you implying that AWA was never in bankruptcy?? WRONG!! Same same.

Why 2 bankruptcies in 2 years??? Hmmmmm......

Seriously consider this. 737's have been returned, are being returned. This is and will decrease the number of 737's that are covered under the allowed 50% of in house maintenance. The 190's may be filling those empty slots but they won't require heavy maintenance for a while. Hopefully, in house work will return and increase. Hopefully, in house work will at least stay steady. For example, the additional west Airbus maintenance may/will balance out the loss of the 737's. And it's not a we (east IAM) taking over the heavy maintenance. It's a we (US Airways) doing heavy maintenance.

Look at the industry as a whole. Outsourcing. Every industry. And it's not going to go away any time soon. Those are the apples and apples of it.........makes no matter if it's airlines, unions, auto manufacturing, etc......it's outsourcing.

50% OF 0 = 0%
NO TOOLS = 0% IN HOUSE
